Overall Rating

UPES Dehradun is known for specialised courses in Law, Engineering, Design, and Management. It offers various opportunities and has a very good infrastructure. However, fees are relatively high but overall the institution is good and has a lot to offer. The faculties are supportive for research paper publications. The overall academic experience was quite good and the students were good too. The faculties are mostly from NLUs and come with a lot of experience, which is very helpful for the students.

Academics Rating

The curriculum includes several subjects of Law like Company Law, Contract Law, Cyber Legal, Understanding of the entire major Criminal and Civil Legislations, etc. The faculty also makes sure of practical learning through moot courts, internships, and case studies. The faculties are very engaging, invested in student development, and encourage class participation and other things. The academic experience of this institution is great. The faculty comprises of eminent scholars and industry professionals providing good mentorship throughout the course of our institution.

Faculty Rating

The faculty of UPES School Of Law was quite good, they assisted us anytime we faced an issue, and they helped us for research paper and book chapter publications. We were given assignments to work regularly and they kept us engaged in activities like group or individual presentations and VIVAs. Professors are generally well- prepared, supportive and focused on practical learning through case studies, and presentations. The faculty is quite engaging and provides with good amount of study material, which is very helpful.

Infrastructure Rating

The infrastructure of the campus is quite good. There are two different campuses i.e. Kandoli and Bidholi. Both campuses are located at good locations. For the School of Law campus, there are 4 different schools present in the same campus, very well connected and diverse. The classrooms are also designed nicely. Due to the weather, institution is good throughout the year. A mess is there, which is well maintained and very hygienic. UPES provides a conducive environment for growth and personal development.

Campus Rating

The campus is blooming throughout the year, with well-built infrastructure for extracurricular activities too. Campus life was quite decent. There are several clubs like Technology Club, Sports Club, Debate Club, etc. that support students with their interest. Fests and events are conducted quite well. Events like ‘Spandan’, ‘Uurja’ and ‘Ojas’ happen on a yearly basis. The area surrounding the campus is good too, it is quiet and peaceful. Regular seminars are also conducted. Overall it is a great experience.

Overall Rating

My experience at UPES has been positive. The students are active in competitions and committees, which create a lively environment at campus. The faculty members, especially in the law department are highly qualified and they teach beyond the syllabus, ensuring we get a deeper understanding of the subject.
