Exploring Campus Life in GEU Dehradun

Overall Rating
GEU is a university, which has students from all regions of India and some African nations too. Therefore, on marketing front, the university has done commendably well. Not just in marketing but placements wise too, the university is very strong as it has been able to attract various reputable companies to its campus. Almost all the boxes are ticked, which one looks at, before enrolling and therefore I chose this university.
 

Academics Rating
Academics just kick off and reach high levels just a few days after the semester starts. Lectures start at 8.30 AM and because almost every alternate day we have practicals, we have to be in the college until 5 PM. It is long and hard, but this university believes in producing potent engineers and therefore academics here are on the highest note. Lectures attendance of 75% is mandatory and if one misses that heavy fine beckons. Some students do it purposely and therefore such strict measures are there.
Including everything that is tuition fees, registration charges and all the total fees of CSE is around 4.5 Lakh a year.
 

Faculty Rating
Some Faculty are highly experienced while some are young. But, both are smart and Intelligent. Some of them I personally did not had a strong connect with, so for me faculties can be divided, as some are exceptionally good while some are good and some as per the standards that university has they are not at par.
 

Placement Rating
One of the strongest parts of GEU is its placements, as over 80 percent students of each batch are placed in reputed companies with unbelievable packages.
 

Hostel Rating
There is one hostel is inside the main campus and rests all are off campus but all in Clement Town only.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Main campus does not hold our classes anymore as we have a seperate entity now. All the technical courses such as B.Tech CSE, BSC IT and BCA are relocated to a new small campus, which is right next to Gate number 2 of main campus. The main campus is connected through an underground tunnel so we can go to main campus at will. The main campus has a football ground and various indoor sports facilities. There are two canteen and two auditoriums too.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life of Graphic Era is what has thrilled me the most. Weekends are off for us. I hardly stay at campus post classes, as I am not into sports and neither associated with any society. However, for those who want to get involved, campus offers an amazing culture. Societies of the university are promising too. ‘Grafest’, which is our annual fest, is worth attending!

    At GEU Dehradun, studies are made easier as when I enrolled for Engineering, I thought it would be very tough and I will be studying all day long. However, university timings are quite lengthy but after coming back, there is no touching to any of the textbooks or the laptop for studies.     GEU Dehradun has a mind-blowing faculty that makes this university different from other universities. The environment inside the campus is clean and green. It has a good infrastructure.
