Events at JIMSEMTC Greater Noida: From Navras to Anugoonj

My journey begins with the IPU counseling where I got JIMSEMTC Greater Noida as my college and before confirming it, I went for the campus visit. I found this college good or better than other because it has h beautiful view of nature inside plus outside also and the faculty members are supportive and friendly in nature & always guides you the best according to their experience.

So in this college I chose B.Tech (CSE) as my course which includes the engineering in computer languages like JAVA, Python , C, C++, etc. The main reason to choose this course is that I like to learn about technology and have some new ideas to upgrade it for future use. In addition, in the era of 2025 the technology and the online facilities are top on the tracks list, which also creates better opportunities for us to get better job placements. The criteria for doing this course here is that you should have given the JEE examination and your rank should be under 5 lakh to 6 lakh. Alternatively, you can also apply from the management quota to this college by visiting there admission department. Admission process is very simple, they will ask you for some basic documents that are required for your admission, and as you fulfill the conditions, you will get the admission. Exams are conducted by the timeline provided by the IP University. In addition, B.Tech course is under imp university in this college. They also prepare you for the real life challenges also by giving you the seminars and industrial visits and live real life projects to solve the problems.

The fee structure for this college is like this: semester fee is 1.4 lakh to 2 lakh, hostel fee is 1 lakh to 1.5 lakh per annum. The complete course fee (4 years) is 5.5 lakh to 6 lakh. You can also avail the scholarships on the basis of your JEE percentile or on the basis of your 12th boards marks. In addition, there are also some facilities for the economically weaker students.

All the faculty members are highly educated and have a good experience in teaching field. For Physics there is Mr. Nafeesudin sir, Ak Jain sir, both of them are masteres of their subject, Engineering Mechanics, and Manufacturing: Mr. RJ Yadav sir who is very polite and love to teach students and support us by guiding us the ways for our betterment. Every teacher has a different method of teaching that some use PPTs, some writes on blackboards, some share you the notes made by themselves and many more. All the faculty members are very helpful, always support you in your problems, and give you the solutions for it. Usually in one class, there are around strength of 60 to 70 students. I had a very good experience with my faculty members and they all are supportive to me.

There is a placements cell in the college that helps to get you the opportunities for job placements and internships in the college. There is also a Geek Room Society, which gives you a handful of internship opportunities that you can avail for your better resume and skills development. For the better placements, many guest lectures are conducted by the college faculty and our seniors also. This helps the students to get new ways for their skills development. Companies like Infosys, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, etc visit our college for placement activities. The average package is for 4 lakh to 10 lakh (on campus) and the highest is above 24 lakh (off campus).

The hostel facilities are also good but rules are a little strict. the food of hostel mess is good and have different varieties like north Indian, south Indian, Chinese, etc. there is separate hostel for boys and girls and the hostel is having both the facilities of rooms like AC rooms and non AC rooms for both boys and girls hostel. The fee structure for hostel is around 1.3 Lakh to 1.5 Lakh per annum; it includes the living, laundry, food, and some basic facilities.

The college campus is not very big, it is around 5.5 acres to 6 acres, but it is well maintained and all filled with greenery inside the campus. The outside of the campus is also full of greenery. It has different buildings for different departments, it has two hostel buildings one is for boys, and other is for girls. It has a good amphitheater inside the campus. There is a very good auditorium in the college campus. It has a gym for the students of the hostel. Two canteens are there inside the college, and many food options are present outside the college. At a distance of 10 min, there are malls to hang out with friends. There are physics lab, chemistry lab, EVS lab, workshop or manufacturing labs, and many computer labs. It has a with wifi facilities all over the campus. Very well organized library plus two grounds for sports, one is a basketball court, and the other is a badminton court.

Overall campus life is very good You will enjoy the environment of college and there are many more this to do in this college, events like Navras, Roobaroo, geek room, hackathons, Diwali fest, ethnic day, sports tournaments, Anugoonj, celebrity nights, dj and dandiya nights, guest lectures, seminars, industrials visits, pc games tournaments, and many more things to do. The crowd of college is good and 85% seats are reserved for the Delhi students other 15% are for students from other states. Our seniors are also very helpful and friendly in nature and there is very strict action on conduction ragging or harassment acts. The life is more disciplined in this college as compared to other college, but it is all worth in the end. You will be welcomed with an amazing fresher's party, which is organized by your seniors and faculty members for you.
