Overall Rating
Overall experience in the NIT Patna is very good. I am doing my B.Tech from this institute which have two campus one at Ashok Rajpath road and another at Bihta. Until today only 2nd and 3rd year student of CSE and ECE are studying in Bihta campus, which may change in future. There is no ragging in the institute and mess and hostel are good. It is institute direct funded by Government of India, which makes it better than other private institutes, and it is NIT.
 

Academics Rating
There is no motive for me enrolling in ECE the main thing behind it is JOSAA counseling but nowadays I have coming strong interest in core electronics subjects. You have to qualify JEE Main with decent percentile to get admission in B.Tech program. Each semester have one mid semester exam and one end semester exam. It helps in your placement after passing B.Tech, which have very huge role in increasing of our country GDP.
The fee for each branch of B.Tech is same, nearly Rs. 62500 tuition fee for whose family income is more than 5 Lakh annually. For the ones with family income is between 1 Lakh to 5 Lakh who have fee waiver of around 66%. For family income, less than one Lakh have not any tuition fee. The hostel fee is 40 thousand per semester including with mess. You can apply for NSP scholarship or state scholarship program itself and verify with the institute.
 

Faculty Rating
In our institute, there are mixed faculty some of them are supportive while some of them are rude and filled with attitude as if they know everything. All faculty members are PhD qualified. They studied with both on board and ppt. Teacher to student ratio is approx 90:1. I have very good bond with some professors they helped me so much to me progress in my life. Communicative English professor and Electrical professors are my favorite as they are very helpful in problem solving approach and abilities.
 

Placement Rating
NIT Patna has its own training and placement cell, which helped in students to be placed. In our branch, average package is approx. 12 LPA with median package approx. 11.7 LPA and 87% students are placed. In our institute big tech company like Google, Facebook, Samsung, Amazon, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Spacex, etc. came for placements.
 

Hostel Rating
Our institute has various hostels like Sone, Ganga, Brahmaputra, Koshi, Baghmati, etc. Each have their own extensions, the Sone hostel is allocated for first year boys while Brahmaputra is for next 3 year boys. While the Ganga hostel is for all girls in the campus.
 

Infrastructure Rating
It has two campus one is in main city of around 40 acres and one is in Bihta is of around 120 acres which is still in construction. There is no chance of branch change in the institute. It has various building for classroom of each branch differently. It has SAC student activity centre where you do physical workout, play inside sports and counseling for your mental health. Everyone favorite place in institute is PMC where people rest in the evening and playground where you can play your game like cricket, football, badminton, etc.
 

Campus Rating
Until now, campus is crowded. I have spent my first year in institute, which I enjoyed so much, but I suggest you to do extracurricular activity and maintain your CGPA so that you have no problem in being placed in PSUs and big giant tech companies. There is not any annual fests happen, but we enjoyed lot while travelling various places like gurudwara, ISKCON Temple, Ganga Ghaat, etc.

    I am a first-year student in the CSE department of this renowned Institute. I am giving this honest review through my experience to give proper perspective of institute through my eyes to the new aspirants. The campus is considered one of the smallest among NITs.     Just like most of the students, I also love my institute. In NIT Patna, you get the promised cultural mix and get to meet people from all over the country. The infrastructure is good and up-to-date. Faculty and curriculum is good.     The overall college is good, but the campus is little, small, it is about 40 acres. But no worries in the campus we have a playground, indoor games like badminton, table tennis, squash. Even in the campus we have the Gym, which are separate fir boys and girls. Our Campus is located near the bank of River Ganga, so every Sunday we can go and the watch the Ganga Aarti....
