B.Tech Mechanical Engineering in NIT Jamshedpur

Overall experience of this institute is very good. It is nice institute and has decent campus life. I selected this institute due to many factors like, good placement percentage, average package, and single occupied hostel rooms. All its courses are suitable and apt for giving you platform for your next journey of life.

Course chosen by me is Mechanical Engineering (Bachelor of Technology), 4-year course. Being an institute of national importance and admission through JEE Main Examination ranking, even the last branch of B.Tech course holds extreme value as any JEE aspirant can very well think of.

Total fee may vary from 10 to 12 LPA including mess and hostel. B.Tech course tuition fee is Rs. 62,500 per semester and rest includes hostel, mess fees, internet, bus facility, library, cultural and technical fee, and medical insurance fee.

Faculty in National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur is very well versed with their specializations and is nice to approach to. There are many faculties to ensure an optimum student to faculty ratio to sort out any kind of problem faced by students academically. All faculty are generally multiple degree holders at least PhD from reputed IITs, foreign universities. There are grades like Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor according to the experience they hold.

Infrastructure at my institute is decent and well-built new buildings will surely catch your eyes. The Diamond Jubilee Lecture Hall complex (DJLHC) is the primary lecture hall complex where all academic activities are carried out. It is newly built [2020] and holds almost all facilities required: Lecture halls, 12 in each floor and total three floors, lifts in both Main and back entry to LHC, an OAT [Open Air Theatre] for cultural and other performances. The campus is huge with nearly 350 acres of land and has centralized Library, Computer Centre, Food Court in 2-3 places, Cafeteria at basement of LHC, An Old Academic building for official and administrative work, Dispensary etc..

Overall campus life is decent here at NIT Jamshedpur. There is a TSG, which is Multipurpose Gymkhana Building for student activities where different indoor sports are played, along with it there is newly constructed basic facility Gym for students. There are clubs for almost all domains be it Daksh for ATV Vehicle designing and racing, Phoenix for aeromodelling, DRT for drift formula car manufacturing and racing, ROOH as music club, BTBS as dance club, Robonauts for robotics and automation etc.
