Admissions at NMIMS Navi Mumbai through CLAT and NLAT

The reason I chose NMIMS is that it has a brand value and secondly it maintains a strict policy when it comes to attendance and studies. The course outline includes question patterns which are totally case based and not just definition based. They check your ability to think and apply what you have studied.

I have chosen BBA LL.B, the motive was obviously to safeguard my family and my future, and then help others. General people lack legal awareness, so our curriculum ensures we are well educated. This college takes admission through CLAT scores and also through their own admission test called NLAT. Previous year, the cutoff for Mumbai campus was somewhere around 10,000 in CLAT and for Navi Mumbai, upto 12,000. The college conducts a mid sem and end sem exam in 6 months each. The midsem compromises of overall 50 marks, which includes Group discussion -10 marks, Class participation -10 marks, written test -20 marks and 10 marks for activity. End sem is of another 50 marks adding to the total. The academics prepares you for real time as already I mentioned question pattern is purely based on application rather than theory and the Group discussion part takes out your public fear and boosts your confidence.

Fee of previous year was 2.5 Lakh. The whole course fee approximately would be 14 Lakh.

The faculty members are good, but some just come with the PPTs and read them. Every 2 months, a feedback of the faculty is asked from students in which the director himself joins and takes the reviews. Overall, talking of bonding, all facilities are friendly and professional. The teaching procedure is through PPTs, which are later shared in the class group.

The infrastructure as whole consists of centralised AC classrooms and corridors. There is no playground as such, most of the college functions takes place in the main staircase area before which there is a small ground type space. There is a gaming room that consists of indoor games, a music room to chill out, and a canteen where good food is served.

The campus life is decent. Fests are very engaging as many other colleges join in at that time. These fests generally involve dance, acting, DJ nights, etc. Festivals like Garba Nights during Navratri, Ganesh Chaturthi, etc. are also celebrated here.
