Placement Support at SIMATS Engineering

Currently I am pursuing Computer Science & Engineering at Saveetha School of Engineering. My one-year experience was good to excellent. Unlike other colleges, This College has its unique curriculum, which can’t be finding in any other Engineering colleges. The university follows "flex learn" in which a student can select min of one and max of two course and it is treated as one semester here. if a student registered for one course then he/she will be writing there university exam in two weeks (semester exam).If a student have registered for two courses than he / she will be writing university exam in one month (university exam, which makes this one look different from other colleges, and can't be found any other university or colleges.

The eligibility criterion for getting admission into this college is to have minimum of 70% in board exams. University provides scholarships for meritorious students too. In addition, there is a basic test, which students should clear before they join the college. As mentioned exams are most frequent in this college, where you will be taking tests everyday mostly and exams one to two in a month, which looks weird but is the fact. The overall academics are too good with 0% stress if you are good at your work else it would be very difficult to survive in this university. For programming courses like C++, Java, and Python, the complete course will be only in labs. There will be on teaching in physical board, which makes unique about this college.

As of now (2025), university provides scholarship for meritorious students. The fee for CSE department is Rs. 3,50,000 (only tuition fee) if student does not eligible for and scholarships. Rs. 20,000 is the minimal fee for students who have scored above 90% in their 12th board exams.

The faculties at my department are too good with huge experience. Here comes the special part while discussing about student teacher ratio, here there will be only 40 students in each class, which makes teacher to teach and communicate easy with the students. Every class has AC, Digital boards. In every class, students will be seated in circular tables, which make students to communicate each other while group discussions or project works. The bond between students and teacher are very close due to project works, which will be included in every subject.

The highest package offered in 2025 is 45 LPA for two students. The College provides 100% placement and internship. This college offers multiple placements to the students. The companies that vested this year are Wipro, Intel, Amazon, and many more.

The college hostels are supper clean and hygiene with 24/7 power and water. This college does not provide mess to the students. Students should have their food at food stall, which are located all over the campus with 24 hours run time.

One of the best parts of college is library, which have nearly 87,000 books. My all time favorite place in college is stone bench where there will be lot of birds and ecosystem, which will be interesting with chilling with friends.

The overall campus was good with minimal crowd .College offer funded clubs for sports, acting, dancing, singing, and story writing. There will be minimum of one event every day conducted by college. The campus life is too good with minimal stress. Even events can be conducted by students from the first year. If you are looking for a college with minimal stress and good academics than SIMATS Engineering will be the best one.
