DTU New Delhi Campus has Modern Facilities like AC Classrooms and More

I started studying at Delhi Technological University in the session 2024 and so far the experience has been good. The people have been great and administrative faculty has been helpful too. We can also ask our seniors for notes and they at times also help me with my doubts, they are very cooperative. The coursework is advanced and the university also offers a minor degree in Data Analytics which helps us to enhance our CV.

I chose B.A (Hons.) Economics as I am looking forward to build a career in either Consulting or Finance. I got in the University based on my score in the Common University Entrance Test commonly known as CUET. After the scores were released several rounds of counselling happened, they were all in physical mode, students had to register for the counselling online and a common date sheet was given as to when the students have to show up and with which documents. Each semester has a mid semester examination which is of 25 marks and a final examination of 50 marks and the remaining 25 for practicals, viva and attendance.

The fees for my course was Rs. 1,10,000/- per year. It was paid in the form of a demand draft on the day of counselling.

Faculty members are all alums of esteemed Institutions with deep insights on their respective subjects, some of the faculty members give out written notes while others explain the important topics in class and expect us to take notes. This is majorly for subjects like Mathematics, where problem solving is concerned. Topics are taught and then important questions are done in class for better understanding of the concepts. The faculty is extremely approachable and friendly and is always happy to stay back a bit after class to solve day-to-day doubts or doubts related to the semester exams.

The campus size of Delhi Technological University is decent. There are lots of good places nearby to go to after classes. It’s situated in Vivek Vihar Phase 2 in Karkardooma. Classes can easily fit around 50 students. The classrooms are air conditioned, the fans are working and the seats are in a good condition. Computer lab is very spacious and so is the library. Every class room is lit properly and there is a medical room with an attendant. The campus has also have sport facilities like basketball court, volleyball and badminton court. Guards are there to take care of any misbehavior on the campus.

There are clubs and they are very active, they hold quizzes, treasure hunts and many other activities. The annual fest of our University withhold various activities and events for the students to participate in, we play games, and visit the stalls. The crowd is decent, if you look you will find your people. Every society has their flagship events where students from the University and other Universities come to participate in competitions.
