Total Fees of B.Des at Banasthali Vidyapith Jaipur is Rs. 10,00,000/-

I joined Banasthali Vidyapith Jaipur in 2022. I appeared for entrance exams at NID and MIT ADT Ujjain, got selected in MIT but the fees was too high and I could not afford it. Fortunately, I got admission on the basis of merit. The first few months were challenging, but soon I learnt to adjust. There is no proper ventilation in the hostel room. Hostel rooms do not have AC or coolers and have just a pedestal fan which makes the room not quite a good place to stay in summers.

I have chosen Bachelor of Design in Communication Design as I have always been into creativity. Drawing and art has been my passion since childhood. The entry requirements for the same were minimum and easy. I filled the admission form online through the College website portal. The requirement was a minimum of 70% in 10th boards and I qualified for that. After a few days, I got a mail to report to the campus for counseling process along with my parents. Hence, I got admitted to the College. There are a total of 8 semesters in my course. There are 2 periodical tests of 10 marks each and a Semester exam of 60 or 40 marks depending on the subject. There are theoretical exams and viva both.

The total fees for B.Des in Communication Design is Rs. 10,00,000/-. It is broken down year wise and then further into two installments that is semester wise. So it comes up to approx. Rs. 1,20,500/- per installment. Hostel charges are Rs. 45,000, Development fees is Rs. 41,000, and tuition fees is Rs. 1,39,000 per year. There are various scholarships available in the College.

The faculty teaching our course is friendly, helpful and easily approachable. They have good industrial experience and have clear concepts regarding their specific subject matter. They help us at every step to help us understand and progress well in our career. They use both whiteboards and PPTs for explanation. They individually attend to every student if there is any difficulty in execution of the given task. The teacher to student ratio in College is less but good. Till now my experience and bonding with faculty members has been very good.

Every year companies visit the department for recruitment. The top recruiters are Zee Media, Raymonds, The Yellow Tree, and so on. The average package offered in Communication Design is 1 LPA to 5 LPA. Apart from that, a 6 months Industrial Training (on-site) is also offered to the students in the final semester and it is mandatory for every student to do.

Banasthali Vidyapith Jaipur is a fully residential College. The campus has 29 hostels with a capacity of 110-400 students depending on the hostel size. Rooms are available in three types: 2 seater, 3 seater, and 4 seater. The room has basic amenities like bed, windows, door, a cupboard and a study table with table light and charging socket. Also, there are tube lights and pedestal fans depending on the number of student in a particular room. Hostel gate shuts at 8:30 pm and no student is allowed after that. There is a strict restriction on electrical appliances in the hostel such as iron, immersion rod, heater, kettle or induction.

The campus is split into two blocks, school block and College block. The classrooms are of all sizes. There are labs devoted to specific purposes and specific subjects. Labs have AC and computer systems with all the necessary equipment for a particular subject. There are canteens which offer vegetarian food only. There is a hospital and medical stores. Security features are good. No one can enter the campus without proper verification process. There are guards and CCTV cameras everywhere around the campus.

The overall campus life is quite good. The College is spread over a vast area of 850 acres of land and holds more than 15000 students. There are extra-curricular activities and five-fold education system. A student can never feel bored or lost within the campus. The tight schedule doesn't allow that feeling to come in. The College timings are from 9 am to 5 pm with a lunch break in between from 1 pm to 2 pm. Then, in the evening there are five fold activities like sports, dance, singing, music, embroidery, aviation, and many more. All the festivals are celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm.
