DCAC New Delhi has World-Class Facilities like AC Library, Auditorium, Media Room, etc.

DCAC New Delhi is a good college for anyone looking for courses in Arts and Commerce fields. It has a cool environment, which is away from the overwhelming atmosphere that one could go through in universities. It is one of the top colleges in DU's South Campus. I personally feel grateful that I got admission here. It is a small campus with amazing crowd and faculty. The college is well known for its course in Journalism, as only a few colleges of DU offer it, so if you are interested in Journalism, this college would be a good choice.

I am doing BA (Hons.) in History. The admission process was quite simple, you have to appear for the CUET exams, then when the results are out, your score is compared with the required cut-offs of the colleges and courses you applied for and if your score matches it, you get that course/college. History (Hons.) is great here, the faculty is very experienced in their respective subjects, the seniors have built a supportive and quite helpful environment for their juniors and all in all it's fun.

Since DU is a central university, the fee isn't much, specially for BA courses. My fee is about Rs. 10,905/- a year that makes it Rs. 5,452/- per semester. You have to pay the whole amount for the first year during your admission process to ensure your seat. Apart from that, you have to pay the exam fee or registration fee and its total amount depends on the subjects you have opted for. It is paid every semester right before the exams. It is somewhere around Rs. 1,000/- to Rs. 2,000/-.

The faculty for History (Hons.) is well qualified and experienced. In first year, all my professors seemed very learned and on top of that, they were very passionate about the subjects they were teaching. Many of the faculty members have PhDs and one of my professors has even wrote books in his subject, which are used by students to aid their studies and is highly appreciated by other faculty members of other colleges as well. Every faculty member has their own respective way of teaching, some use the blackboard, some use PPTs but each one of them promotes group discussions. They are quite helpful and you can freely approach them regarding your genuine doubts.

DCAC New Delhi has two main buildings, one is for the Arts courses and the other is for Commerce. The college has the size of 5 acres. All the classrooms are of different sizes, some can seat about 60-70 people, while others can contain only about 20. The library is well equipped with great books and it is fully air conditioned as well. There is one auditorium in the college and two or three seminar halls. There is a Media Room, which has a Studio and Control Room, mainly for Journalism students but can be used by the college and societies if permitted by the Principal. The Canteen isn't that big but the food is okay. There's a Football Ground, Basketball Court, Cricket Net Practice Area, Table Tennis, Gymnasium and a girl's common room. The security is good. Even though the campus isn't that big, it is good enough and fulfills a student's core requirements.

The campus life here is awesome as the crowd is quite interesting, diverse and entertaining at times. The college outshines because of its crowd and faculty. You get to meet people from different backgrounds, coming from all the corners of the nation. The cultural exchange is too good to be true. There are a lot of clubs/societies in the college ranging from cultural societies for Music, Dance, Drama, Fashion, Photography, Poetry etc. to others like E-Cell, Commerce Association, Environmental Society, etc. There is a college fest every year and on top of that, every society has its annual event/fest while a lot of sub annual events take place throughout the year. The different departments/courses have their respective annual events/fests as well. Overall, the extracurricular forum is filled with various opportunities and events that students can be a part of.
