My View of JEC Jabalpur

Overall Rating
JEC Jabalpur is a Government Engineering College under RGPV Bhopal. It is one of the oldest and most reputed Colleges of Madhya Pradesh and that is why I chose it. The College also has good placement results, affordable fees, and most importantly, it’s huge campus since the British era.
 

Academics Rating
I am studying Mechatronics Engineering. For this, I prepared for JEE Main, through which I can take admission here. Admission for both B.E and B.Tech is based on JEE merit list. The vacant seats will be filled based on marks obtained in 12th board. Generally, the counselling procedure for admissions start in July / August of every year.
In JEC Jabalpur, fee is quite affordable. For Bachelor of Technology you have to pay approx. Rs. 14,000/-. Exam form fee is Rs. 1,300/- and this all is only for general category students. For OBC / SC / ST students, there is complete scholarship. The College also provides them with required stationary.
 

Faculty Rating
Each faculty came here through a government selection process, which makes the College’s faculty more experienced and intelligent. They help students even after the class. If any student faces any problem, they can go to the teachers. They don’t do any discrimination. Most importantly, faculty not just helps in academic activities, but also helps in personal development of the student.
 

Placement Rating
The College has a training and placements cell. It helps to crack any round of placement. They provide frequently information of up-coming placements and they start preparing students for it from their 2nd year itself.
 

Hostel Rating
JEC Jabalpur has a government hostel service, which provides meals at a very low cost. The College has some private hostels near it, which are very good in terms of hygiene and food. They also have very low rent for students.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The College was established in 1947, so it’s infrastructure is from that era. A bit old, but the College maintains it well. Modern facilities have been added too. The campus spans across 255 acres. This area includes buildings, hostel, sports facilities, canteen, parking and other things. This College is located on the north-eastern outskirts of Jabalpur, making it a substantial campus area. The College also has its personal huge library, which is my favourite place in campus. Every classroom here, has a seating capacity of 120 students.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life here is very good in all terms. In this College, you’ll not just study a course, but you’ll live every new moment of your life. There are so many clubs in campus like ‘DanceOn’ for dance, ‘Raag’ for singing, technical clubs, etc. I am also part of them. Every year, there is a fest, which includes different activities, workshops, etc. Recently the College organised its own TedX talk session.

    JEC is the most affordable and the oldest college in central India. The reason most people come here is its ROI i.e. Return of Investment. It is widely recognized for its mechanical branch.     Jabalpur Engineering College JEC, Jabalpur, is the most popular government college in Madhya Pradesh. It started in 1947 and has a great connection to the job.
