Summing Up My 4-Year Experience in JEC Jabalpur

Overall Rating
The Jabalpur Engineering College is a pretty old College with an infrastructure that has been there for almost 75 years. The main benefits of choosing this College is an excellent ROI as you can get a job of around 4 LPA to 5 LPA & your fees for 4 years is just Rs. 1,00,000/- with almost 60% students get scholarship. Clubs are active and organise events regularly, you can have decent extracurricular.
 

Academics Rating
I have studied in Electronics & Telecommunication branch & it is a pretty strict branch and have strict faculty. Marks are also not given easily so you have to try hard and focus on academic. Other courses are lienient.
Fee of JEC Jabalpur is just Rs. 12,000/- per semester. For 4 year degree, you are spending a tiny sum of Rs. 1,00,000/-.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty depends from branch to branch. Some faculty members are really good while some really support students. There are smart boards and black boards in classes. Teacher to student ratio can be better. In future, I hope they hire more teachers.
 

Placement Rating
The placements are handled Training and Placement Cell. Placements can be better. You can get a package of 4 LPA to 5 LPA, almost 60% students get placed till end of final semester. companies who visit the campus are Tata, TCS, Infosys, Reliance, etc.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels are good. There are 8 boys’ and 3 girls’ hostels and 200 students live at the boys’ hostel. Fee is very less i.e., Rs. 1800/- for a whole year.
 

Infrastructure Rating
As I said earlier, the campus is 75 years old. There are facilities like library, Jashan hall (auditorium), conference halls, and labs are also good. Sports amenities need to be improved.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, campus life is satisfactory. Some good events are held from time to time. I had a pretty great College life as I was the head of Entrepreneurship Cell of my College and I organised lot of events and participated in a lot of events.

    JEC is the most affordable and the oldest college in central India. The reason most people come here is its ROI i.e. Return of Investment. It is widely recognized for its mechanical branch. It has the largest boilers lab in the state. My experience has been satisfactory.
