Exploring Campus Life in SGTB New Delhi

Overall Rating
Last 2 years in SGTB New Delhi taught me various things and gave me exposure too. The societies are active here, the teachers are supportive too and the vibe is nice. It is a great space for someone who wants academic and personal growth too. The College gave me different kind of experience. The cultural events here are great too. I highly recommend coming here.
 

Academics Rating
I am pursuing B.A (Hons.) in Business Economics and I choose this because of my interest in Economics, Business, and Data. The admission process was through CUET exam on merit base. Here exams happen semester wise. Earlier we had 6 semesters, now we have 8. It's a choice to do either 6 or 8 semesters, but 6 is compulsory to get a degree. The subjects help in building an analytical and strategic mindset. Some topics are quite heavy theory but overall it prepares you for the roles of Economics Statistics and Business. We are asked to make presentations and write assignments too.
The annual fee of my course is somewhere around Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 40,000 per year.
 

Faculty Rating
My department has a mix of various types of young as well as experienced faculty. Most of them are very knowledgeable and helpful. A few of them follow PPTs to teach while others use traditional methods of teaching like teaching on black boards. They are approachable outside the classes too. We as students can really learn so many things from them.
 

Placement Rating
The placement cell of SGTB New Delhi is really active and it is known as ‘Ignite’. The average package offered to students is around 4 LPA to 5 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
There are two different hostels for both boys and girls. The infrastructure of hostel is great and they make sure of security for all. The food quality is average. The cleanliness is good. The girl’s in time is 7:30 PM.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus has a nice balance of greenery, as we have botanical gardens. However, there are some old areas that need to be repaired. The classrooms are spacious, most have air conditioners and projectors. There are Samsung TVs for students pursuing CS (Hons.) The library is peaceful, with good collection of books and magazines. There is a seminar hall and a big auditorium where mostly all the events happen. My favourite is the lawn and ground during winters, as you can sit in sunshine during cold days. There is a canteen and medical room too.
 

Campus Rating
SGTB New Delhi has given me friends and many memories. In my 2 years, I learnt so much from this College and also got many opportunities to stand out. Participated in many music competitions and also won most of them across DU Colleges. The north campus vibe is different, the fests, events, etc. everything is great. You will find your type of people here.

    I am in my first year of B.com (Hons) at SGTB New Delhi and it has been a really lively and an eye opening experience so far. The campus seems to have a very welcoming and peaceful atmosphere.     My experience with SGTB Khalsa College is very good. The professors are very qualified and there are plenty of extracurricular activities present in the college. The infrastructure of college is bit old and looks rusty and other than that campus life is fun. The college has great culture mix also because there is reservation for person from Sikh community.     It’s a good institute for Punjabi people as this college is under Sikh minority. Children who are from Sikh family can get a very familiar environment here.
