Best College Experience at SGTB New Delhi

Overall Rating
I am in my first year of B.com (Hons) at SGTB New Delhi and it has been a really lively and an eye opening experience so far. The campus seems to have a very welcoming and peaceful atmosphere. The infrastructure here is nice too. Quite a big ground and a really nice canteen which serves non vegetarian food options as well. If you are looking for a place in north campus where there is quite less to no toxicity, this College is the place to go. What makes it unique is that this College is a Sikh minority College which offers a quite different experience to the students.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen B.Com (Hons.) as my course since I have always had a profound inclination towards Commerce and the financial perspective of things. To get admission here, you need to qualify CUET exam by satisfying the cut-off criteria of the College. There are no quotas for OBC-NCL and SC / ST students. It follows the NEP Policy and that is why there are 6 to 8 semesters depending on the course you have chosen.
One of the major reasons why people choose Delhi university is because of its high return on investment. The fee of this College is affordable and is worth the experience provided here. The fee I paid for two semesters was around Rs. 20,500/-. I am not aware of any financial aid or scholarships that are provided although there might be some.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty here is really good. Teachers seem to be experienced and professional. All teachers have completed their education from renowned Institutions. They all are really nice and positive to interact with. There are three types of classes- Lectures, Tutorials, and Labs. We are generally taught on a blackboard but there are few classes where smart boards are used. There are two sections for my course with each section having around 63 to 65 students. The teacher student ratio of the College is good too.
 

Placement Rating
There is a placement cell named ‘Ignite’. Placements of this College are subpar to average and one cannot expect much at an undergrad level anyways in my course. Some of the students get placed with companies like Deloitte, KPMG, and more. There are a few students that are working at companies like Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Chase. The average package for the year 2024 to 25 was around 6 LPA and the highest was 25 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
I am not using the hostel facility of SGTB New Delhi but I have seen the hostels from outside and they look really nice. There are separate hostels for girls and boys.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus size is huge and the buildings are painted in light pink color. There is this really nice outdoor area named ‘Jannat’ which has some seating arrangements and is surrounded with trees. It is really pleasant to sit and spend time with friends there. The sports department is quite strong. The Basketball court is nice and decent sized. There is a huge Football ground too. There is a gurudwara too inside the College premises. It is very peaceful to visit. The canteen is also very good, it is affordable and hygienic. They even serve good quality non-vegetarian meal options.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, the experience I had at this College has been great. You get the exposure of living with a diverse crowd, and will definitely find your people with whom you will be able to make the most of your College life. This College offers students with varied opportunities to explore their diverse interests.

    My experience with SGTB Khalsa College is very good. The professors are very qualified and there are plenty of extracurricular activities present in the college. The infrastructure of college is bit old and looks rusty and other than that campus life is fun. The college has great culture mix also because there is reservation for person from Sikh community.     It’s a good institute for Punjabi people as this college is under Sikh minority. Children who are from Sikh family can get a very familiar environment here.
