About IIT Bhubaneswar: All the Aspects

Overall Rating
My overall experience at this Institute is overwhelming and enjoyable. This Institute is one of the best Institutes among all the IITs and I like to be here. Whatever you want is available here and there are some good spots also to enjoy with friends. One think I don’t like is the fair of autos and taxis which is very high.
 

Academics Rating
I chose Civil Engineering; I got this during my counseling. The academics at IIT Bhubaneswar are average. The faculty members here are very talented. They teach us very well and also provide all the necessary stuff. There are two exams in one semester. The exams are very easy.
The scholarship is provided to special category students not to those who actually deserve it. My fee for one semester is about Rs. 1,50,000/- including hostel fee. I think the fee is very high.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are good here. We can contact them whenever we have any doubts. They provide online PDFs, notes for revision, etc. The teaching method includes whiteboard, projector, blackboard, quiz, etc. Most of the teachers are from IITs.
 

Placement Rating
The placement of IIT Bhubaneswar is average and needs more improvement. I guess in next few years it will get better. Companies like Google comes here for providing internship opportunities but less than 50% students get placed from here.
 

Hostel Rating
There are separate hostels for girls and the boys. The hostels are very large and good. The rooms are available in various occupancies. Students have to fill all the details like entry and exit time after 10 PM in the hostel register. The mess provides 4 time meal system and the quality of the food is good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of IIT Bhubaneswar is good and it’s developing over time. The SAC area is my personal favorite. The classrooms are large and have all the facilities such as AC, boards, and projectors. The campus also has a canteen. Several sports facilities are there in the campus. The Institute provides transport and medical facilities as well. The security is very tight here.
 

Campus Rating
The campus of my Institute is amazing and the crowd is average. There are several clubs which are divided into three parts such as Cultural society, Tech society, and Sports society. I am also part of many clubs. The Institute also organise many extracurricular activities such as NSS, NCC, NSO, and yoga. They conduct fests every year. Earlier there were three fests but now there is only one fest. My experience here is amazing.

    My experience at IIT Bhubaneswar is extremely rewarding. The institute offers solid academics plus many chances for extracurricular activities and development. It has fast developing infrastructure to contribute for developing campus culture. I selected this institute as it is peaceful next to lively surroundings that separate it.     My experience in IIT Bhubaneswar until now is good. I got 140 marks in my JEE Advanced but I didn't get CSE branch institute with what marks I got so I took EE branch. In other top IITs, I could get like Civil & Mechanical branches but electrical is someway better than that so I took this. Hostel facility in this institute.
