IIT Bhubaneswar Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

IIT Bhubaneswar has a huge academic block with 3 learning hall named Ratnagiri, Pushpagiri, and Udaygiri. We have a lab complex mainly for freshers and respective subject schools from 3rd year for every branch. Campus size is huge, it is around 1,000 acres and is located in outskirts. But, we get a scenic view of Barunei hills from here. The classroom has seating capacity ranging from 100-300 students. We have 1 library in academic building and reading room where we can study until late. We have many canteens and 1 hotel serving until 2 AM. Sports facility, especially cricket ground is gorgeous. Although we lack an athletic track, but rest is good. We have 1 hospital named Sanjeevan. Transport facilities are also good. There are buses and e rickshaw to commute within campus and go outside. My personal favorite part is student activity center, it is literally the best place in campus.

The college life is good here. We have around 4,000 people in campus. The atmosphere is peaceful and vibrant. There are many societies and clubs I am part of. The institute organizes many extracurricular activities like General Championship, Inter Hostel Competitions, etc. Wissenaire (technical), Alma Fiesta (cultural), E-Summit (entrepreneurship), and Ashvamedha (sports) are some fests that draw participation from across the country. In campus, academic blocks are very nice built. Nearly 60 students can be seated at a time in each class. There are lecture halls as well. There is library facility and it is situated in the Main building of the campus. IIT Bhubaneswar is also focused on the sports facilities and medical issues. My favorite part of the infrastructure is the institute is the sports building as it is called Student Activity Center.

My overall campus life is nice and satisfactory. About the crowd in the institute, it is really huge. You will see people roaming around in the campus even during mid night. There are socio cultural clubs and tech clubs. These clubs help students to their hidden talent and enhance their personality. Personally, i am interesting in cinema and acting so I chose to be part of the club related to these things. We have main building, which is awesome, and an auditorium for institute events, which is far better than first generation IITs. For academic, we have LHL and RHL. These are learning halls and are new. In each learning hall, we have large and small. Large rooms have capacity of 120. Small rooms have capacity of 60. In main building of IIT Bhubaneswar, we have library, where we have two floors. We can study in one floor and other which has books and computers facility. We have canteen in each hostel that have food at cheap price. For medical emergencies, we have Sanjeevani Hospital. they provide insurance too.

My experience in campus life is good. In our 1st year, we have just 590 students, which is a positive to this institute. Whole strength is about 3000 so we have so peacefulness. There are many clubs like cultural and tech societies. we have two different types like in tech societies, we have coding club called Necromancers, web & designing called webnd, etc. In cultural, we have singing society called Aaroh, dance society called dgroovers, etc. I am in necromancer society that help in competitive programming. We had three fests last year but this year we are having only one fest and it is happening in April 2025.Read Full Review
