Area of SDCH Shimoga Gym is Approximately 300 Square Feet

My overall experience in SDCH Shimoga is wonderful. The College has a very good patient inflow due to its location in city. Many people visit here giving it a very rich patient inflow exposure. Instead of other Dental Colleges in Shimoga, this is far better in my opinion. One of the most favourable factors that made me choose this College is that this is very near to my place, so there is no issue in travelling. The teachers present here are very experienced.

I choose BDS because of my interest in the Dentistry. I always wanted to choose Dental practice because I feel like it's an amazing work of art, and requires practical skills, & specialisation in its own. The eligibility criteria for our College is through clearing NEET, and a safe score of 450+ marks is advisable to enroll into this course. There will be a single exam at the end of year, which is conducted by the RGUHS University

As per the fee structure, it can be divided into three categories. For Government seats, fee is around Rs. 86500/- per year. Additionally, Rs. 50,000/- is charged in miscellaneous fees. Fees for private seats is around Rs. 3,00,000/- per year and for management seats, payment changes every year.

The faculty here are excellent. In general, these faculty members have completed their MDS and have a minimum experience of 3+ years. They are very friendly with students. They teach using PPTs mainly, but sometimes they also teach using black board. In my experience, all the faculty teachers are very much approachable and they make me understand every doubt I have. Despite of a less teacher student ratio, they still provide personal attention.

The campus infrastructure is very well maintained and the campus can also be called as green campus because of its lush green environment. The campus has a football ground, volleyball ground, canteen, in house hostel. The College has 9 departments in the main building. The Institution has a Gymnasium, the area of which is 300 sq ft. It has a very good library with all the necessary books for us to study. Transport facility is also well maintained by the College and it has 4 separate College buses.

Overall, campus life is very amazing. I have been enjoying very much since I have joined here because of the functions happening in the College. Annual fest happens which has interhouse competitions, it is a week-long fest. The College crowd is decent and the campus is not much crowded. There are no such separate clubs, but surely there are groups which take part in intercollegiate competitions. Our College also emphasises us to take part in seminars and conferences, which is the best thing I like about my College.
