NEET exam score required for admission in BDS at SDCH Shimoga

I am in SDCH Shimoga for the past two years and right now I am in my second year. My experience till now in this College is good but the course I took is not easy. I chose this College because it provides various opportunities and the faculty members is also great. I would recommend others to take admission in this College.

I chose BDS Courses which is Undergraduate program. I chose this course as an alternative for MBBS and the course I took was my second priority. I thought pursuing this course will be more beneficial in terms of profit. I have seen Dentist in my hometown earning a lot of money. For admission, the students have to qualify NEET exam and score at least 550 marks. Only one University exam will be conducted at the end of the year. The students have to be present at three internals exams conducted by the College. The academics prepare us very well and provide clinical knowledge. The way it conduct exams is different from other Institutions.

I got Government seat in this and I paid Rs. 96,000/- in the first year. In second year, I will be paying Rs. 86,000/-. The private seat would cost around Rs. 3,00,000/- per year. The students who got Government seat have to pay lab fee, transport fee, etc. The College doesn’t provide discount.

The faculty members at SDCH Shimoga are very knowledgeable and experienced. They have done Masters in their respective field. Most of the teachers have a very good educational background and they belong to different states as well. The teaching method includes blackboard, PPTs, group discussion, etc. The most interesting method I find is the group discussion. The problem solving ability of the teachers is also very good and my experience with the teachers is very good.

The infrastructure of this College is not up to the mark. The infrastructure is improving significantly. The auditorium got renovated and it is amazing, it is equipped with AC, projectors, etc. The classrooms can accommodate around 120 students at a time. The campus has library which is equipped with computers and all kinds of books. The campus also has a seminar hall, canteen, etc. The security is top notch and two security guards always remain present at the College.

My campus life till now has been amazing and I am enjoying so much. The College conducts a fest every year which is very fun and it held for a weak. Other than this, other activities also take place around the year. Overall, College experience is nice so far.
