Build Future in REVA University Bangalore

Overall Rating
My two year experience in REVA University Bangalore was intense and wonderful experience. The University provides both practical and theoretical knowledge to the students. If you want to build a strong, focused, and build a career in the Science field then students can enroll in this University.
 

Academics Rating
I chose M.Sc in Data Science. My initial intent was to move to a more specialised analytics position. The eligibility criteria needed is a Bachelors degree in a quantitative field with at least 50%. The students can take admission through the University’s Post Graduate Entrance Test. I found the admission process quite easy. The University conducts two exams per semester. The academics provide practical exposure. My course was more focused on practical learning with a deep understanding of practical application like Python, R, data visualisation tools, etc. The academics prepare the students for real life challenges.
The fee in REVA University Bangalore of my course was approximately Rs. 60,000/- per year. The admission fee was Rs. 10,000/- . The University also provides scholarships to the students who score good marks in their academics.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are highly experienced. They have done Doctorate level of education. The faculty members teach us very well by combining traditional teaching method with modern teaching method. The teaching method includes blackboard, PPTs, GD, etc. Faculty members are approachable outside the class as well. The teacher to student ratio is 1:30 which is good. My experience with the faculty members was good. A couple of professors became mentors of my major subject and paper which was extremely valuable.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, REVA University has a dedicated placement cell. It provides training to the students of third year which include resume writing, aptitude test, technical interviews, etc. Several companies such as TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, etc. often visit our campus for recruitment. The average package ranges between 4.5 LPA to 5.5 LPA and the highest was 21 LPA. The placement process can be very stressful as many companies conduct the drive at the same time but it is well supported by the Cell.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the University provides hostel facilities to the students. There are separate hostel for boys and the girls. I have lived in the hostel for 2 years and the rooms offered were double sharing rooms. The rooms were clean and well maintained with necessary facilities such as single bed, a table, chair, and cupboards for each student. The hostel blocks also have common rooms with TVs and indoor games facilities for the students. There is a common mess for the students and the mess food was average. The hostel has strict rules and regulation for maintaining the discipline in the hostel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is spread over 45 acres. The infrastructure of this University is so beautiful, modern, and aesthetic. The campus is environment friendly. The academic blocks are named after distinguished historical figures and they are very spacious. The classrooms are well equipped with AC facilities and projectors. The campus has a huge library with various kinds of books, journals, etc. The University has lab facilities with updated software and technology. My favorite place was the open air heater. The campus also has Football ground, Basketball court, and gym.
 

Campus Rating
I had a great time at this University. The campus life was so fun and engaging. The crowd was from all around the world. There are many clubs such as Technical club, Non Technical club, Coding club, etc. I was in the coding club and it has benefited me tremendously in the competitive programming. The University organise an annual techno cultural fest called Revivals. It also conducts various activities, hackathons, workshops, etc. for the students.
