B.Tech tuition fee at REC Visakhapatnam is Rs. 80,000/- per year

My overall experience at the Raghu Engineering College Visakhapatnam is very positive. And the factors which made me choose the College is the environment of the College, which was truly excellent. The College is great in terms of infrastructure, placement, teachers, extra-curricular activities and more.

Mainly I wanted to join Computer Science course, but my relatives and brother persuaded me to join the Mechanical course. They believed that if I join this course, I would achieve success. I am very happy that I considered their suggestion and joined this course and it is mainly so because of the friendly nature of the staff. The minimum entry requirements are to pass 12th Class with the required percentage. The admission process of my College is through EAPCET conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. There are unit tests, mid-terms, and semester exams twice in a year. Students are encouraged to think creatively. The academic are in such a way that it promotes students to become industry-ready and in the position to deal with real life challenges.

The tuition fee for my course is Rs. 80,000/- per year. Moreover, the students have to pay around Rs. 20,000/- for campus training program and Rs. 5000/- for building funds along with some other additional charges. The total fee that students have to pay for a semester at the College is Rs. 1,20,000/-. There are no special discounts given to students, but scholarships are based on the merit of students in AP EAPCET.

The faculty members are well-experienced in teaching students and have completed their masters in their respective subjects. The background of the faculty members is from some of the most renowned educational Institutions. There are two ways of teaching, which are, through black boards and PPTs. Moreover, to provide practical experience to students there are some lab classes too. The problem solving ability of the professors is excellent. The teachers are friendly and students are able to build a friendly relationship with them. The student teacher ratio of my College is well-balanced too.

Yes, in REC Visakhapatnam, there is a placement cell which helps students to secure a good job at reputed companies. The placement related activities are mostly focused on the hard and soft skills of students. There are various seminars conducted at the College with industrial experts from companies like Infosys, TCS, Wipro, etc. The highest package is 45 LPA and the average is 4 LPA. I will have my placements next year.

Yes, the College offers residential facilities. Approximately, 1000+ students can stay at the hostels offered by the College. The hostels are separate for girls and boys and have facilities like open space, pure drinking water, and more. The mess food is hygienic and students are served with meals four times in a day. The hostel fee is around Rs. 1,00,000/- to Rs. 1,50,000/- with AC and non-AC room options. Everyone is required to maintain silence at night. I do not have relevant experience since I did not stay at the College hostels.

Based on the course, there are different academic blocks. The campus size is around 50 acres and is located at an easily accessible location. The classrooms can accommodate around 60 students and they are not air-conditioned. The library is well-stocked and maintained. The labs are neat and clean. There are other facilities like seminar and conference halls, canteen, sports and medical facilities. My favorite place at the College is its park.

The overall campus life was excellent. The College has a crowd of around 8000 students. I am a part of NSS at my College. Moreover, there are clubs for various activities like Social, Cultural, Academic and Sports. There are various engagement activities held in the premises such as activities like Football, Cricket, Volleyball, etc. which I really enjoy. There is also held a grand annual fest for 3 days which adds to the overall experience of my campus life.
