Overall Rating
I choose this Institute because they have no criteria about whether you had Maths as one of your subjects in 10+2 for pursuing the course I preferred. The Institute offers great academic infrastructural facilities and the faculties are also nice here. The only thing I do not like a lot is that we have to abide by the dress code, but, in some or the other way, it is meant for our own good only.
 

Academics Rating
I decided Narula Institute of Technology Kolkata to study BCA (Bachelor of Computer Application). I chose this course because I had interest in computers from a very long time. But for some reason, I took Arts after 10th Class. And due to this I was not able to get admission to my preferred course at other Institutes. Students can get easily get good grades if they attend lectures properly. There are also slot tests before semester end exams which help us in preparing for the same.
The total fees structure here is approximately Rs. 4,04,000/-. Per semester fee is around Rs. 47,000/- and for the first semester, the fee is slightly high. There is a fee of Rs. 73,000/- charged for the first semester. This fee is inclusive of the uniform, bag and ID card fee provided at the start of the session.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are generally knowledgeable and supportive. Many of them are approachable outside class hours and are willing to guide students with projects, internships, and even career advice. However, like most Institutes, some professors are more engaging and updated with the latest technologies than others. Overall, the teaching quality is good, with a mix of theory and practical exposure. The teacher use blackboards to teach generally. Most of them have done their Ph.Ds.
 

Placement Rating
Placements depend a lot on how proactive students are. Top recruiters do visit the campus, and those with strong coding, communication, and problem-solving skills manage to secure good offers. Internships are provided in the final years, which help students in preparing for full-time job roles.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostel facilities are decent. Rooms are clean, but space can feel a bit small when shared. Mess food is average, with food being good on some days and average on the others. Wi-Fi and basic amenities are available, but sometimes maintenance can be slow. Overall, it’s manageable and helps students build a routine and a good peer circle.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is modern and well-maintained. Classrooms are equipped with projectors and good seating. Labs are up-to-date with necessary equipment, and the library has a decent collection of books and online resources. Wi-Fi is available across campus. The campus also has good green spaces, a cafeteria, and areas for sports.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is one of the highlights at NIT Kolkata. There are plenty of clubs, fests, and cultural activities to keep students engaged apart from academics. Often sports competition and frequent hackathons keep happening. The events throughout the year make campus life lively and memorable. They annual fest is held in March or April every year. There are many clubs for various activities like dance, photography, videography, etc. You can also participate in those to showcase your skills.

    My overall experience in this institute is okay, I choose this institute because I got 20,000 rank in WBJEE and for this rank this institute is best for B.Tech in CSE. If we talk about faculty, I can say about 80-90% are average to good and cooperative. Labs are good and classes happen on regular basis.     Narula Institute of Technology is a very good institute. It holds a good position among the private institute of West Bengal. It has a good campus has a pond, which looks very nice in night.
