St. Xavier's College, Jaipur is Recognised by UGC

The three year I spent in St. Xavier's College Jaipur was fun. I enjoyed the fest and events conducted by the College & my department. I would like to say that every student should take experience of this College. I chose it because of its reputation, beautiful campus, and UGC recognised courses. There is a beautiful water fountain in the middle and the view from the top really adds the value to it.

I chose Psychology as my major and English as my secondary subject. The entry requirements to take admission in this course are 60% in your class 12th boards. Anybody from any background can take admission in this course. The admission process was smooth and didn't take time. The HOD was pretty helpful and provided all the required information such a fees and placement opportunities. There were internal exams with a gap of at least 5 to 6 months and it usually takes place twice a year The College conduct one main exam at the end of the academic year. The practical exam provides exposure to the students who want to become a counselor and Clinical Psychologist in future. I believe my course prepares an individual well for future.

The fee of my course was Rs. 1,95,000/- for three years in which I paid Rs. 75,000/- in the first year and Rs. 60,000/- in the second year. The first year fee includes the admission and the registration fee along with additional SWAYAM course fee. The College provides scholarship to the students in which one is merit based scholarship which provides several benefits. In the end of the year, there was another scholarship which was based on the attendance of the students. If the student have more than 75% attendance then the students can avail this scholarship.

In my department there were 3 to 4 faculty members. The assistant professors are friendly and easy to talk to. The classes were interactive and the practical classes were top notch. I'd say the only problem I faced was completing the lengthy assignments and writing the practicals. The faculty on the other hand was always helped me in solving queries. They also give great examples and keep the class interactive.

The campus of St. Xavier's College Jaipur is huge. There are three main entrances, 2 Football ground, and a separate ground for the school in the back. The College provides parking facilities. The building has 4 floors and at least 100 classrooms. There are cameras at every corner and a huge sitting area. The campus has canteen which provides a variety of food. My favorite place was the Table Tennis room.

My overall campus life was fun and entertaining, I enjoyed playing Table Tennis during the free periods, reading books in the library, and enjoying the extracurricular activities like the open mic events, music, and art related events. The College hosts an annual event called Zest which usually takes place in the month of February. It is one of the biggest fest and many students participate in it.
