IISU Jaipur is Good University for Girls

Overall Rating
Before taking admission in IIS University Jaipur, I have done a lot of research. Basically, this University is good for female students in so many aspects. It provides ID card to each and every student and by scanning it, the attendance will be mark and a notification also gets sent to the parents. Overall, the academics, classes, events, extracurricular activities, etc. of this University is good. If you are looking for a girls University then this is a good option. I have majorly enjoyed the COSD certificate course classes.
 

Academics Rating
Basically, I had a creative mindset and my goal was to attain knowledge in the same. That is why I have chosen this course. The admission process is quite difficult, you have to fill a form and then another form will be given which is of 5 to 6 pages. In this, you have to fill the required details such as Aadhar number with two passport size photographs, etc. The exams are conducted 4 times in a year. The semester exams contain 70 marks which take place in every 6 months. The class tests are of 30 marks. The academics are majorly based on theories.
I chose Bachelor of Journalism & Mass Communication. The students have to pay the fee year wise. The fee I paid in the first was Rs. 98,000/- which includes transportation fee as well. If the students are opting for any certificate course then the fee will be different. You also have to pay the registration fee which is of Rs. 2000/- and security deposit which is of Rs. 5000/-. The University does not provide any kind of special discount to the student however students can avail the scholarship. The University offers Indira Gandhi scholarship to a single girl child.
 

Faculty Rating
In Universities, the teachers do not provide special attention to the students. The faculty members here are approachable and they have done Ph.D in their respective field. Most of the teachers have industrial experience. They teach with the help of blackboard and notes. Some of the teachers explain the topics very well. There were 55 students in my department and 8 faculty members. 2 faculty members were there for conducting extracurricular activities.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is a placement cell which helps students acquire internships and jobs in various sectors. To be honest, placement cell is average. Most of the opportunities are about Sales and Marketing. My placement experience was average.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the University offers residential facilities to the girl students only. The rooms are available in double and triple occupancy. I have heard that the quality of the mess food is average. The hostel rules are strict; students are not allowed to go outside after 8:00 PM. If one needs to go out then they have to take the permission of the warden and the parents as well.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is average and the size of the campus is not that huge. The IIS University Jaipur has 6 different blocks named as Block A, B, C, D, E, and, Block F. The classrooms have wooden chair and tables. The campus has library which is located in the basement, two seminar halls, one auditorium, one conference hall, etc. We have 3 canteens which provide average quality of food. Male and female security guards are also present at the University gate for safety purposes. There is one medical room where you can go and take rest. One small sports room is also there at the University.
 

Campus Rating
My overall campus life was quite good as I took the subjects which I liked the most. The campus crowd belongs from different states. The University organise an annual fest every year called ‘Cosmos’. In this fest, various competitions are organised such as mandala art competition, mehendi competition, dance competition, anchoring, etc. I participated in various activities.

    My experience at IISU Jaipur was kind of bittersweet. It is an all girls' University. The faculty and facilities are really well. You should join to the University if you want a balanced academic life because it’s both fun and well-managed.     Overall experience was good. One of the biggest reasons of choosing this University was its discipline and the campus environment. The faculty was another big reason for choosing this University.
