Reminiscing My Days at JDMC New Delhi

Overall Rating
So I got this College in my first list but it was not my preference. But no regrets, it is the best I must say. The environment, the faculty and the cleanliness of this College is just awesome. This makes JDMC New Delhi different from other Institutions. I must say there was no guilt after taking admission in this College. A huge respect to the faculty and Principal ma’am.
 

Academics Rating
I had chosen B.A Honours in English and the eligibility for this course was I think 91% or above for general category and easier criteria for other castes. You should fill the form online. Admission also takes place online. Then, you have to clear CUET for this course. The course prepares you if you want to do a job as a teacher or writer.
Okay, so when I got admission in this College the first year fees was around Rs. 14,000/- and then in second year it was around Rs. 18,000/- and last year it was around Rs. 20,000/-. The fee depends upon different courses. But I know as a Government College of DU, the fee is high in this College. But believe me, it is worth it.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are good. The other department's Professors are too good and funny. There are assignments, PPTs and projectors also in classroom. Professors will help you, guide you and solve your doubts. I must say that the bonding of faculty with students is good but English department is bit strict in this matter. But they are helpful.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is a Placement Cell Society in this College but the thing is that the most of placements took place for B.Com students. I'm from Humanities background and I'm telling from my personal experience. I wish that the Humanities students get more opportunities to get placed.
 

Hostel Rating
I've opted for College hostel known as the Krishna hostel which is the official hostel of Janki Devi Memorial College, New Delhi. In my opinion, it is the best hostel for sure. The quality of rooms and bathrooms is too good. The fee is bit high but believe me you will not regret it. The fee was around Rs. 1,50,000/- in 2022 and I don't know about the current fees. But for me, the mess, warden and hostel faculty were the best.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is huge. There is a library here where you can find every book, novel, and journal. Seminar hall is very beautiful but the auditorium could be worked upon as it is an open auditorium. So it will be difficult for students to sit there in winters. Overall it is good. Medical room is also there in the College. You can also find a sports ground there. The favourite part of mine in this College is its Cafeteria. It is the best place to hangout with your friends.
 

Campus Rating
The overall crowd ofJanki Devi Memorial College, New Delhi is good. It's a women's College so yes it will be the best for girls. The campus is big and environment friendly. There are so many clubs in the College such as Dance, Singing, and Debate. The sports society is very active in this College so the students are mostly engaged in sports activities. Events also take place in this College. The fest organised here is named as 'Jyotsana' and it takes place around January. My College life was good there and I made many friends who are still in touch with me.

    I have recently completed my second year and what I loved the most about Janki Devi Memorial College New Delhi is that despite of it being an off-campus College, the faculty is top notch and they never compromise on your studies. I wasn’t initially happy with an off-campus College but slowly I realised that I needed peace as there isn’t too much crowd and also it’s a women’s College which I prefer personally.     My experience at Janki Devi Memorial College has been really good. The teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. The campus is clean and has all the basic facilities like library, labs, and sports areas. There are many activities and clubs for students to join, which makes College life fun and interesting.     Janki Devi Memorial College is overall a good college. The infrastructure, social life is amazing but the placement is average. However, the college is most underrated college of delhi university. You should definitely join this college. The admission process is based on CUET scores, and the cutoff varies each year.
