Merit-Based Scholarships are Offered at St. Xavier’s College Jaipur

I am in my second year of St. Xavier’s College, Jaipur, and I can comfortably say that this is one of the best educational Institutions in Jaipur. Apart from the supportive, helpful and career oriented faculty members, who focuses on each and every student, the College itself is very discipline oriented. The reason why I chose this is because of the value of the College’s name Worldwide. Overall, I am really satisfied with my College.

I chose BBA, because I believe that it would provide me with the base needed for MBA, which is my long term goal. The criteria for this course in my College is your marks in 12th class. You need 75% minimum marks to enrol in this course. You can apply for the course through the official website of the College. The structure of the exams are pretty usual, i.e. there are two exams in a semester, one midterm examination and one end term examination. Along with the usual curriculum, the College also equips students with real World experiences like helping students with Internships for real World challenges.

The fees structure of this College, particularly for my course is Rs. 42,000/- per semester amounting to Rs. 84,000/- for one year. The first year students are also supposed to pay Rs. 7000/- for admission fees. The College also provides merit based Scholarship opportunities for students who have scored 85% or above in 12th, providing a sponsorship for 15-20% of admission fees.

The faculty of the College is really good. They are very supportive and helpful in every way possible. The head of department is really supportive and encouraging to each and every student. The faculty teaches with group discussions to better equip the students with the confidence needed to understand and answer the question along with PPTs, used to make the concepts clear. The faculty members are well skilled to handle a large amount of students, but for the sake of focusing on each and every student, the student to teacher ratio is about 45:1. Every faculty members make sure that each and every student gets due attention, which is something not seen in many Colleges.

The Placement Cell at St. Xavier’s College, Jaipur is really active in equipping students with the skills required for the real World and giving them exposure. Placement Cell of my College recently organised a career fair that focused on allowing the students to connect with the industry level people and provide them with the opportunities to get hired.

The College currently has one all girls' hostel, but a bigger girls' as well as boys' hostel is in the process of building for the convenience of its students.

The infrastructure of St. Xavier’s College, Jaipur, is really excellent. It is well maintained and is filled with greenery all around. The campus size is also really great and is located near the Nevta dam. The classrooms are well maintained and equipped with smart boards for PPTs for the students to make them understand the topics better. My College also has a really great library that is well stacked with all the books that one may need for their education. This College also has a canteen that can fit about 200 students at a time, and a new and even bigger canteen is under construction right now.

The overall campus life is excellent. The crowd there is excellent and you'll mostly find students that are really studious and career oriented. The College also has a lot of clubs that the students can take part in like Photography Club, Dance Club, and Marketing Club to connect with likeminded people. The famous annual ‘Zest’ event is really something to look forward to and to take part into. There are annual events of each and every program, with their HOD being the head of the event.
