PSCMRCET Vijayawada: An Honest Experience

Overall Rating
The Potti Sriramulu College of Engineering and Technology Vijayawada has a good environment, friendly faculty, excellent Lab facilities, etc. Placements are really good at this College and hostel facilities are also good as compared to other Colleges. It is has all the necessary facilities. Transportation is convenient so I chose this College. They also encourage the students for extracurricular activities.
 

Academics Rating
I chose B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering because nowadays, Software jobs are good for career and provide many opportunities to settle in our lives. To get admission, students can either give the EAMCET exam or enroll through the management quota. Admission process is very simple and we need to submit all our documents for verification. Other than the final semester exam, there are monthly and weekly tests. In Academics, we are gaining knowledge that will help us in real-life challenges.
Annual fee for the EAMCET students is less than the management quota students. Moreover, they also get scholarships.
 

Faculty Rating
Our faculty members at PSCMRCET Vijayawada are friendly in nature and they teach us in very easy and understandable way. They are ready to teach us again and again until we understand. They also help us in our projects, Academics, and placements. Our faculty is highly skilled, knowledgeable, and has a good teaching background. They also have good problem-solving abilities. The teacher-student ratio is also good. I have good bonding with the faculty members and they are all good to me.
 

Placement Rating
Our College has a Placement Cell and the Training Officer name is Mr. G. Srinivassa Murthy who brings us placement opportunities. This Cell explains how to attend the interviews and how to clear the written & technical tests. It also provides training to make the students job-ready. They provide classes on soft skills, Coding, etc. to improve our knowledge. The students are placed in some of the top companies with a placement rate of around 82%.
 

Hostel Rating
Residential facilities are provided to the students. The hostels for boys and girls are separate. Hostel is situated at the top of the College building making it easier for the students to commute. The hostels are maintained well and are very clean. Canteen is also available. The Mess food is good and they provide quality food and hygiene is also maintained by the staff. The hostel fee is Rs. 40,000/- and mess fee is Rs. 3400/- per month. There are strict rules and students need their parents’ permission to go out. The hostel gate closing timing is around 6 PM.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus size at Potti Sriramulu College of Engineering and Technology Vijayawada is small as compared to other Colleges. Classrooms are very good, spacious and equipped with Projectors. Canteen is good. There are Sports facilities, Indoor Games, Buses for Transportation, Library, etc. The Library has all the books necessary for Academics.
 

Campus Rating
Campus Life is very good. The crowd is decent. Many innovative Clubs are also present such as entertainment club, helping clubs, dance clubs, cultural clubs, academic clubs, sports clubs, etc. Our College supports extracurricular activities like dance, music, singing, sports, etc. and conducts events based on student’s interest. It also celebrates special days and festivals like Dussehra, Christmas, etc. moreover, it celebrates all special days like the Sports Day, Independence Day, Republic Day, Annual Day, Fresher’s, Farewell, etc. My overall campus experience has been really good.

    When I was in Intermediate was preparing for the JEE Main, one of my shifts’ center was Potti Sriramulu College of Engineering and Technology Vijayawada. When I went there, I was just impressed by their Labs which were very big and had separate rooms named after renowned scientists. There were good quality air-conditioners as well.
