My overall experience at Jaipur National University was okay and something I won't say I regret. The attention Jaipur National University puts to its practical studies is something that surprised me and will greatly help the students who seek admission in the fields like mass communication that require more practical knowledge rather than theoretical. Besides this, the hostel and the overall infrastructure of the university are not amusing and are something that students will eventually get used to.

Anybody who wants to get himself/herself gets enrolled in the Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication in Jaipur National University has to pass their 10+2 from any stream. The scholarship depends on the percentage the student has received in his/her 10+2. In addition, anybody wanting this course should have a keen interest in media and its aspects, as this 3-year course will completely deal with the different media topics including television, filmmaking, radio, and newspaper.

The faculties teaching this course provide a decent learning experience through both, theoretical and practical modes. The teachers come from a decent background and have enough knowledge to teach different subjects theoretically and practically with the help of well-maintained equipment. Most of the teachers focus more on practical knowledge as this course is 70% practical and 30% what seems theoretical.

The placements at Jaipur National University are not worth praising especially for the course of journalism and mass communication. The companies that arrive here for placements are either some startup media firms or some BPOs providing a decent package to the students which ultimately attract some students. Eventually, during the time of placements, the students who are eager to learn the craft related to their field more deeply consider those startups, which provide lesser or no salary compared to the BPOs which those students consider who just want to earn money.

The hostels at Jaipur National University are not that bad and not that good but are something that the students will eventually get used to after their parents have given the fee and are left with no choice. The most concerning thing about the hostel is the food, as it appears that the food is not hygienic and fresh. Leading to these students can get sick and have to suffer a lot. In addition, the water also tastes like something is not good with it, the reason being the taste of the water in the whole area surrounding the university tastes similar due to some reason. Overall the infrastructure also seems like it is not maintained properly and ultimately the hostel life remains an art of adjusting at Jaipur National University as well.

There are basically three campuses of Jaipur National University, named SADTM, SILAS, and Main Campus. The journalism and mass communication course resides on the SADTM campus. Although every building on the SADTM campus is maintained in the same manner with just the name of the course mentioned at the top of the building, it is safe to say that the infrastructure is well maintained in spite of the fact that every building is identical, which doesn't matter as much as the maintenance of those buildings, that is on point. Besides this, there are certain sports areas as well which include a basketball court and a volleyball court which appear to be well maintained as well. Also, the underground canteen is a place to hang out for the students as well, which gives decent vibes as well.

The overall campus life was quite good at Jaipur National University, as it provided all the important aspects a university can offer which mainly include a good academic experience. In addition, the university also provides a good atmosphere for the students to get indulge in different activities like dancing, nukkad natak, and ramp walking to showcase their hidden talents. This is made possible by the annual fest of the university known as Technoraaz. This annual event held at the SADTM campus brings together all sorts of events including DJ night, ramp walk competition, food-making competition, etc. In addition to this, every year celebrities are brought to the campus for the meet and greet with the students in order to promote the movies. Also, every year inter-college sports competitions are also held around the time of Technoraaz in which students participate and make their college proud.
