NIT Delhi has Highly-Qualified and Competent Faculty Members

Overall Rating
The first reason of joining NIT New Delhi is placements and campus life. The classrooms are very good & fully air-conditioned. The placements are wonderful as many companies visit our campus for hiring and offer a very good amount of package. The highest package last time was around 70 LPA and average package of around 12 LPA to 15 LPA. Rather than these packages, a student should learn more skills and enjoy the Institute life to the full, as this will be the last step of their life for enjoyment, so this Institute is 8 on 10.
 

Academics Rating
I got admission here by JEE Main, about 98% to 99% was the minimum percentile & you need to get for this Institute, I got computer science here. JEE Main is conducted 2 times in a year. The first attempt is in January and second attempt is in April but as I was from Covid batch I got 4 attempts luckily and I cleared it in the third attempt but the preparation time were great, learning was on top at that particular phase, hard work and obviously pressure also.
Fee structure is simple. Every year, they will increase fees by 10%, but you can get scholarships for the same, which Institute only provides if your family income is less than 4 LPA, and we also have some Government schemes, which are available on e-district from where you can get the scholarships of whole tuition fees you are paying here in Institute.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty is good, very experienced faculty and knowledgeable faculty is present here. Most of the teachers are highly qualified from big Institutes only; some are from IITs, some from nits etc. The modern teachers try to teach from PPTs and other teachers teach on the blackboard. The faculty is just not experienced and knowledgeable they are a gem of a people also who understands you and can talk them like they are big brother to me, and I am grateful to them for guiding me for my future goals.
 

Placement Rating
The placements are very good. Big tech companies come every year to hire bunch of good students and give them good packages, Google, Amazon, Adobe, Microsoft, and many other companies’ visits to hire students. Around 200-300 companies visits to the Institute. Students also gets Internships and then a PPO, so this scheme of things is also good for the students, average package was around 12 LPA and the highest CTC was around 70 LPA which I think is pretty good for a fresher but the skills they will test in the interview are DSA, operating system, DBMS so be prepared for these kind of skills and tech.
 

Hostel Rating
I was a hosteller only, so there are many hostels but separate for girls and boys. I would rate 4/10 for hostel as the first thing which make me to give them low rating is because of their food, rooms were also okayish, not that great but yes it is manageable.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus is big. You will be getting huge classrooms & sports ground for Cricket, Football, etc. The libraries are also good, fully air conditioned, and have a huge amount of books which students can take home for their use. I was the Football captain of my department, my favorite thing was the sports ground only. Our campus have 2 auditoriums, one is little small but the other one is big. There are multiple canteens also which have different kind of stuffs. You can get north Indian to South Indian all kind of food here.
 

Campus Rating
My campus life was great in the terms of friends and bonding. I had with the people I met and with the teachers also. The fests I enjoyed, the football I played. Obviously, I am an actor so my theatre society. I got good placement also so thankful to this Institute for the placement and I would rate 7 out of 10 for my whole campus life.

    I got 99.3 percentile in JEE Main the main reason I choose Delhi is that there will be a lot of exposure to industries and you will not have any transportation problem (mentioning this as I am from Andhra Pradesh).     NIT Delhi is a premier engineering institute known for its meticulous academics. It has good faculty and state-of-the-art infrastructure. Although the campus is relatively small compared to older NITs, it provides a conducive learning environment with good industry links. Placement opportunities are improving.     First of all, the location of the institute is an absolute wonder. We all love the natural beauty and its denseness on campus. The campus is relatively cleaner than the main city. The classrooms are maintained according to the standard. The vegetarian mess has a good taste. The busy schedule will be relieved in the evening with the friends.     As everybody knows about a National institute, I also worked hard and cracked JEE Mains exam to get the institute. NIT Delhi is really a great institute in true meaning.
