I am studying B.Tech mechanical engineering at school of engineering, Cochin University of Science and Technology. SOE CUSAT is one of top tier government colleges in Kerala for engineering. The reason for choosing this college for my graduation is that what I have heard about the high profile faculties available here. The campus is spread in 180 acres with some lush green views, animals and a peaceful environment.

For getting admission in Cochin University of Science and Technology, you need to clear CUSAT CAT entrance examination which is conducted by the University every year. It is a national level entrance examination and you need to study 11th and 12th syllabus as like for any other entrance examination. The difficulty of the examination is little harder when compared to Kerala Engineering Entrance. I applied for this as along with the other exams. After clearing this exam a rank list will be prepared and there will be 5 allotments including spot allotments. Talking about the course, the syllabus is well updated with a practical and industry ready approach.

All the faculties are well experienced and are having PhD degree in their subject. They are qualified from the national institutes and are highly knowledgeable. They don't offer you spoon feeding, just take the lectures and make you preparing for the semesters yourself in a very good manner.

There is an active placement cell running here. They conduct mock exams, interviews and train you to make us prepared for the placement sessions and industry ready. We have a dedicated committee for the same from faculties and the students.

The hostel facilities in CUSAT are very good. There are a total of 11 hostels for boys and girls. There is mess provided in every hostel. The facilities provided the hostel very nice. There is internet access in every hostel. Hostels are well maintained in and cleaned by the authorities.

CUSAT is big campus and very well maintained infrastructure. Every collage building in the University is properly maintained. Every collage in the University is different from each other based infrastructure. Proper commuting facilities are provided within the University through road which is maintained by the University.

Campus life in CUSAT is very nice. Programs in the University are never ending. Many cultural programs are conducted in the collage. So many talk sections conducted in the University. So many picture sections are conducted by the University on the basis of students need. So many events are happening in the campus every month. It contains musical events, dance events, DJ sets. Vicar is a collage which gives a very good night life.
