The overall 2 years in DTU spent way too well, I did my master's in chemistry from DTU and was in the founder batch. As we were the founder batch, we didn't know much about the things there. Though the overall experience is good because I got to do my post graduation from one of prestigious institution of the country. But the faculty for chemistry is not that wow and the laboratories are not that well equipped with instruments and apparatuses.

To get admission in Delhi Technological University first you have to register yourself on its official website and fill out the application form released on their website only. Then there is entrance test for the respective courses and student must possess 60% marks in their bachelor's. I choose master's in chemistry as I want to join FSSAI as the junior food analyst and for that the essential qualification needed is master's in chemistry.

The faculty of DTU Delhi is okay, not that good not that bad. The teaching methods are average as such teachers give notes of their subject and some don't. Though the faculty is well qualified and experienced. No faculty member is having experience less than 3,4 years and some are teaching their since more than past 10 years. All of them are qualified from reputed institutions and few have done their post doc from abroad. So the faculty is well educated and experienced but the way of teaching is still the matter of concern.

The placement cell of DTU is very active and responsible. A lot of companies came this year for recruitment of internships as well as permanent placement offer. The minimum CTC offered was 3.6 LPA and highest was 17 LPA. This year companies that visited for my particular course M.Sc Chemistry were Havells, Perfact, Serum India, Zigram, Akash Byju’s, PhysicsWallah, Edoofa etc. The placement ratio was 7 placed out of 50. The placement ratio is not that good but opportunities were there. Apart from that few on campus internships are also there.

DTU New Delhi does provide hostel facility, but there are obviously distance criteria. People having residence distance less than 60km from DTU won't get any hostel facility. Talking about the hostels, the girls and boys hostel are far from each other. The rooms are pretty nice though not that much spacious but are manageable. Washing machine and refrigerator are provided among the floors. For each floor one refrigerator and washing machine is there. The food available in the mess is delicious and hygienic. The charges for mess are not included in the hostel fee, they need to pay separately. Overall hostel environment is good.

DTU, Delhi Technological University was formerly known as Delhi College of Engineering and is probably one of the best engineering colleges in India. The campus is so large and so beautiful you felt like staying there for life. There are different buildings for each department and the campus consists of at least 15 departments with their respective buildings and faculty. The classrooms are well spaced and organized. Few air conditioned classroom are also there, but few washrooms are not that hygienic. The vibe and energy of DTU is so happening you never feel like saying bye to that place. The campus is situated at quite the end of the city. It is somewhat far from the social places like cafe, clubs and lounges. Which is pretty much disappointing but DTU itself has things like mic-mac, Nescafe, HPMC, canteen, juice corner etc where you can easily hangout with your friends, and not feel disappointed.

The campus of DTU is so large and widely distributed, that it is not possible to visit the whole campus in one go. Though the campus is even more beautiful than the amount of its occupying area. The crowd of DTU is quite elite and hipster. Yes the crowd is quite cool and funky and people are pretty kind there. There's numerous fests that take place in DTU quite frequently, celebrities like Sidhu Moose Waala, Anubhav Singh Bassi, Sushant Singh Rajput, Kartik Aryan, Harsh Gujral has been the guest in the past few years. Sushant Singh Rajput is the alumni of DTU. DTU's campus life is one of the best things to experience as it just feels mesmerizing.
