Pondicherry Engineering College is heaven for the students who step into college for their Bachelor's Degree. I chose Mechanical Engineering through CENTAC Merit results. Here mechanical is widely considered and placements are also up to the mark. I recommend other students who completed their HSC, to choose Pondicherry Technological University for their higher studies so that they get an enormous amount of knowledge in their respective degrees.

There are about ten courses for the B. Tech. which includes Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Instrumentation, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Chemical Engineering, and now they have opened Mechatronics. The eligibility for the B. Tech. is our HSC results which will be based on CENTAC for the Pondicherry Students and JEE for the other state students.

The faculties present here are highly talented in their way of teaching. They provide notes for every subject they are taking. Also, three internal tests are conducted by them to increase the efficiency of students' knowledge. There are projectors placed in every classroom that provides video lectures for the professors for the betterment of students. Hence the staff here provides knowledge and extra materials for the GATE exam too.

Yes, there is a Training and Placement Center on our college campus. The center provides job opportunities to plenty of candidates and they come out with flying colors.

Yes, there are hostels for both male and female candidates studying in our college. There are about 5-6 hostel blocks total for male and female candidates. I assure you that a hundred percent safety is given to both candidates. The infrastructure is not up to the mark but the hostel food is okay for them. But one should adjust to the hostel food to survive for their upcoming four years of college life.

There are numerous blocks and a separate block for every department, also, there are separate labs present for students of their respective departments. The administrative block consists of two floors where classes for first-year students are conducted. Also there is a bank available on the ground floor for the students.

At last, I love to be a student at Pondicherry Technological University. Apart from academics, there are literary clubs for the students and a women's cell to provide safety for the female candidates. There exists a sports day every year and many indoor and outdoor sports inclusive athletics take place in our college. To encourage the winners and runners they are awarded a trophy. Last but not least, the PECOFES cultural event is conducted for 2-3 days to encourage the budding talents of our campus. Thus life at PEC or PTU will be heaven for sure.
