MIT World Peace University B.Tech Review By Varun Kulkarani

My college MIT WPU is one of the most meritorious, prestigious and remarkable college in all of Maharashtra and is also well known throughout the country. The fact that I love about it is that it located in the dynamic city of Pune, a city that shall always remain close to my heart. My college is ranked as B grade by NAAC and ranked on number 138 by NIRF ranking released by the MHRD ministry of India. Among private universities, MIT WPU is ranked number 14, which makes it so well known and respected. My college is UGC approved and is an established deemed university.

The university accepts meritorious students who have earn a rank through various exams like JEE mains, bitsat, MHTCET, and also an exam conducted by the college itself called as the MIT-WPU UGPET exam. The admission process is simple and can be accomplished easily if you qualify the cutoff of the university. After your original documents have been thoroughly verified by the University, they will grant you admission and you can then officially become a proud MITian. The college management is extremely friendly and the atmosphere is just top class. I believe that joining MIT WPU is one of the best decisions I have taken in my life. I just love the college and the city.

I was keenly interested in electronics and communication engineering and hence took up the course at MIT WPU. Before I joined the college I had been promised that the college shall provide me with quality education and make me industry ready. Today I am in the second year of engineering and I must say that the college has been true to its words. The curriculum taught over here is up to date and industry relevant. Until now I have found no complains whatsoever about the college. I joined the college based on my JEE score, however there are many other entrance exams accepted by the college. The other exams include viteee, bitsat, MHTCET and the in house exam held by the college itself MIT-WPU UGPET.

To be honest I joined electronics and communication engineering, because it is a circuital branch. From a very young age I had developed a keen interest in physics and had decided that I will pursue my higher studies in physics. Coming to MIT I learnt about the electronics and communication engineering course and was interested in it as soon as I took a glance of the curriculum. The subjects taught over here are extremely interesting and engaging. The subjects include a few physics oriented subjects and also a few subjects related to computer science and coding. The course is an extremely industry relevant and has a vast scope in the future. I'm sure that in the future I will manage to grab an amazing job with a dream package. The college will make sure that I will become a good engineer one fine day!

Our branch includes a number of highly qualified, dedicated and experienced teachers. The teachers are friendly and we students can ask them the simplest of doubts any time. They will take pleasure in explaining every single concept repetitively. We can ask them the same thing n number of times without any hesitation, they will explain the same concept with full dedication every single time. Until now I have not had any problem with any of the faculty members, they treat us like their own children and explain everything in detail.

Our college has a number of other branches which you can choose from as per your interests. I can assure you that all the faculty members of every branch have dedicated and experienced teachers. All the teachers are highly qualified with PhD doctorate. All of them are highly proficient and have expertise in their respective field. Their quality of teaching is I would say on par with the best professors from around the world.

My seniors have told me that MIT WPU has one of the best placements cell and I also believe the same. The placement cell of our college is extremely efficient and has been doing excellent work over the years. The college has made an excellent name in the tech industry and is known to produce high quality engineers. A number of mass recruiters come to our college during the placement season and some tech giants offer dream and super dream packages.

The highest package for the previous batch was 37.26 LPA which was offered by Microsoft. The renowned companies which visit our campus include Infosys, Reliance, Amazon, Hyundai, Tech Mahindra, reliance. The average package offered was Rs. 3.2 LPA and almost 85 percent of the students received internships and placements in top companies.

Our college also provides top class accommodation facility and has a well equipped hostel. We are accommodated in a private room with double occupancy. We get to choose our partner who we would want to stay with. The hostel infrastructure is on par and is a good deal at Rs. 1 LPA. The hostel also includes laundry service and has clean and hygienic bathrooms. The girls and the boys hostel are separate. I don't really know much about the girls hostel but I have heard from my friends that it is a very good place to stay in and has all the necessary facilities.

The boys hostel however has all the required facilities and feels truly homely! The girls hostel is located within the campus and is fully secure and the safety of girls is taken well into account. The boys hostel is closely located and is around 1 kilometer from the campus. The mess food is also up to the mark and much better than the messes of the other colleges. The food served in our mess hall is healthy, hygienic and nutritious.

Our campus is a factor that stands out when compared to other colleges. Our college has a huge campus area and has all the facilities under the sun. The campus is extremely serene and peaceful. It creates an amazing study atmosphere. Our college is well equipped with a state of art library, which has books related to all the topics. Any student of the MIT WPU can visit the library and borrow a book from over 75000 choices! It is a Paradise for all the bookworms I must say. Sports facilities are of international standards. We have a huge sports complex with all the sports available.

All the students can have a good time playing their favourite sport at the huge sports complex in our college. Our college also has labs related to all the fields. The labs at our college have very good equipments and all of them are in a working condition. They can definitely help you to grasp all the practical knowledge required. The campus also has general stores, medical stores, ATMs and cafeteria which provide excellent services to all the students on campus.

The campus life so far for me has been amazing. I have made great friends over here and in fact some of them are also from overseas. The campus offers excellent exposure and encourages students to take part in various competitions such as hackathons and many other such extremely interesting and intriguing activities. The college not only concentrates on academic growth but also on overall development of its students. The college provides ample opportunities to the students and paves the way to make them future ready! Our college has numerous clubs to encourage students to participate in various activities. The popular clubs include "INDRADHANU" the cultural club, the sports club for all the sports enthusiasts, the Drama club, robotics club and many other technical clubs.

Overall, the student would get ample opportunities to pursue his /her hobby and would inculcate many values. The college also provides many opportunities for students to enjoy and make memories. The journey of a student will definitely be a memorable one. So far my journey has been extremely memorable and until now, I've lived amazing moments with my friends. The campus hosts cultural and technical fests wherein the students can enjoy their college life in a true sense! The technical fest is called as TEXEPHYR and the cultural club is called as AAROHAN. The college boasts of hosting ATV making competition which has been a grand success over the years. Apart from this the sports events hosted by the college have become a part of the tradition of MITians and all of the students truly enjoy it. To conclude I can assure you that you will have a quality experience if you pursue engineering at MIT WPU!
