Jawahar Lal Nehru College B.A Review By Ankit Singh

I am a student of Jawahar Lal Nehru College which comes under the Kolhan University, Chaibasa. My overall experience in this college has been good because I didn’t get any pressure through the college. There is no attendance problem so you get proper time to do other things too. Sports culture is very good as the students here are highly interested in sports. The academics and fests cultures are also good as all the students participate in activities. The Teachers and all the other staff members are good and very cooperative. We have a bank facility in our institute so it gets very easy for us to make any transactions.

I am a student of Bachelor of Arts. First year students have their classes in the lecture hall while all the other years have them mostly in their departments. Most of the departments have their own buildings so it becomes easy for us to attend all the classes timely. Entry requirements are very easy as you just have to show your results in which you have to pass with good marks then according to your marks or grade you can choose your dream branches. My motive for enrollment in this college is because I am preparing for other government exams so by taking admission here I get enough time for preparations.

In our college the faculty members are quite good. Some of them hold PhD degrees while some hold Masters degrees. The excellence level of our teachers is very amazing as they teach in a way that the knowledge is transferred to us. They are also very good in nature and their behavior is friendly towards us.

In our college we don't have any placement cell which is the only negative point for all of us.

In our college we also don't have any hostel facilities. There are many PGs and Flats nearby the college.

College infrastructure is not that great but it has good facilities. There is a library, many labs, and a sports centre available at the college. Classrooms are well maintained with good smart boards and projectors for teaching. Wi-Fi is not available for doing your projects so it's a negative point. The main building is a bit old but the new buildings are very good and well maintained.

I am studying in Jawaharlal Nehru College in Chakradharpur. There is not a big campus because our college is situated in a small land. In my college there are no clubs but some fests are conducted such as annual function, cultural fests, etc. For other engagement activities our college conducts some competitions between all the students. Games like chess, cricket, football, teakwondo, kho-kho, etc. are also available.
