Even after scoring 91% in 12th boards, I got admission in Lakshmi Bai college in the 5th cut-off list which simply means that the intelligent students surround here. This 'A' rated college by NAAC is doing remarkable job in providing numerous opportunities to its students to excel in every aspects of life ranging from personality development to becoming a sportsperson or a business women.

This college mainly offers major courses of Arts and Commerce field where eligibility requirement is just passing out 12th in the required field. Major courses are of 3 years but some special diploma courses have 4 years of span. Each college year is divided into 2 semesters and each semester has approximately 4-5 subjects. Each subject carries 100 marks wherein 25 marks are for internals and 75 marks are for theory (majorly). This is a good to go college as it also teaches the real life application of each subject in the form of group discussions, presentations, and practical in classes which not only adds to the your experience but also adds weight to your resume.

One of the best things about the faculty is their remarkable experience and profound expertise. There are total of 90-100 faculty members in the Commerce Field. Many of our professors have spent years in their respective fields and bring real world knowledge to the classroom. Throughout the journey we have encountered many teachers where some were teaching passionately with full dedication and interest, while some lacked enthusiasm in teaching. Those lectures were monotonous and students did not participate with full curiosity. Overall, I think college faculty did an admirable job as they taught students as their own.

Lakshmi Bai College placements are below average. There exists a placement cell but the numbers of companies they are tied up with are exceptionally low. The numbers of openings for the same are low. They give preferences on the first come first serve basis which adds as a limitation for a deserving candidate. Only a few in counting hands gets placed and the average salary offered is 3 LPA. Once in a blue moon the top companies like TATA, JP Morgan, TCS, KPMG, etc. are seen to be recruiting from our college at a good offer of approximately 7 LPA. Rounding all, if you are planning to get in this college for placements, I would say that it is a no. You must have some backup plan so that you do not get disappointed.

The infrastructure at Lakshmi Bai College is really worth praising. There are total 4 buildings in which 2 are newly renovated and 2 are quite old. Since the classes happen in all the buildings, some provides comfort while some disappoint you. The premium auditorium at the campus is equipped with the LCDs and sound system. The canteen I must say is very good as it offers affordable, delicious, and worth the time of never ending gossips. There are 3 auditoriums in total and when events happen then the stages and huge performances might leave you with dumbstruck when the singers performs. The library is outstanding. It is beautiful, spacious, and offers a vibe of satisfaction. There are numerous books which offer a wide range of understanding of all the aspects which one needs of.

The campus life at Lakshmi Bai College is very infectious. There are a plenty of things one can do. There are lots of competitions, debates, fests, events, ted talks, and many more that are conducted. The book worms can also find their areas of interest in the study groups, match club, politics, and even history club. The festive vibe is not less than what it is being portrayed in the name of DU events. But, it is surely more than that. The bollywood celebrities and singers often come here to perform and leave the air full of joy and rejuvenate one’s mind. To get some alone time the parks of the college are perfect. There are 2 huge parks one of them has a huge Lakshmi Bai statue surrounded with beautiful flowers, lush green environment, and pond. There is also a temple where prayers are offered and the vibe relaxes your mind. Overall, if you are willing to experience the authentic DU campus vibe, this college is for you.
