Lovely Professional University is known for its placements and infrastructure. If you as a person want to grow as an acknowledged student then this college is for you. My experience of this college was a blast as there was not a single day that an event didn't happen. I had B.Sc in Films and Television Production and what made me chose this college is it's environment, learning techniques, how to handle a crew, a camera, and the key elements of a set. They give a thorough description on the respective field with certain examples with you in the scenario so that you can learn easily.

B.Sc Films and Television Production is the course that will teach you about the direction, production, cinematography, photography, sound elements, lighting, writing, etc. all the key elements that are required at Film and Television sets. The entry requirements were simple as you just have to be a 12th pass with at least 50% marks. Scholarships are also offered which you can apply for during admissions.

The faculty members of my department are very friendly and have lots of knowledge in their respective fields. The teaching style of each and every faculty was different. The faculties are well experienced teachers that were once a part of the Bollywood and Punjabi Film/Television Industries. Their way of teaching depicted their experience. For example, if a writing assessment has been given, then whatever we write, we have to shoot and edit that writing and submit the files to the respective faculties so they can check and guide the students as per the needs.

Yes, LPU has a massive placement cell. The members in the cell help students to attend the placement drive and improve their qualifications as well according to the needs of different companies. We get to learn a lot of things about the selection process, criteria, interview rounds, etc.

Yes, hostel facilities are provided and LPU's hostel life is the best. Hostel includes mess, canteen, laundry area, television area, lift lobby, study rooms, departmental stores, salon, garden, mini gym, etc. all types of facilities that might be required for any student. There are about 7 blocks of girls’ hostels and approximately 12 blocks of boys’ hostels. These blocks also have few sub-blocks. Each hostel has a warden who checks if everybody is in the hostel on time or not. Full safety is maintained and guardians/parents are informed if necessary.

LPU is known for its infrastructure. This college provides over 100+ courses with its academic strengths. Every department has its different building with its own mini libraries. The campus structure is built in such a way that all the similar courses are adjacent like the Film Production Block is built adjacent to Mass Communication Block and Theatre Block. Every block has lifts and cafeterias.

LPU is also majorly known for its campus life and how they celebrate every holiday or cultural event. Even celebrities come to promote their upcoming projects. LPU organises its own events such as fashion show competition, singing competition, and many more. They have groups among students who give ideas to the chairman about the events that should be conducted. The best idea is then selected by the chairman. The college has its own mall, gaming areas, gyms, library, Mac labs, and cycle stand for every 5km distance so you can scan to unlock the bicycle and use it to their next parking state.
