My dignified experience

Overall Rating
At first, I was worried as a South Indian girl going into a university in Uttar Pradesh. But when I got into this university then I realised this university is completely safe despite being in a high crime rated area and the education provided here is completely practical knowledge by experienced professors where they provide real knowledge and even the surroundings environment inside the college is really beautiful and fascinates us in every season throughout the year.
 

Academics Rating
This university provides number of courses, and they are mentioned in the college website where the student can select their own interested course. The University conducts the entrance test through which the selection will be made according to your rank achieved in that particular test and for agriculture and horticulture interested students can also get the seat in this college through the eligible marks gained in either ICAR exam or university entrance test. And, yes, this university is ICAR recognised.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty provided by the university is very experienced professors with vast knowledge and they most probably teach in English language and also Hindi which makes it convenient for the students from various states. And the professors are well qualified, and they are friendly to the students and clear all the doubts in the class.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, the university provides placements to the passing out students who are qualified, but the salary given by the industries or companies will start from Rs 15000- 20,000 and within Uttar Pradesh district only. So, most of the students apply for higher studies and few students apply jobs in their own native places.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, university provides hostels for both men and women and there are many blocks of hostels according to our comfort. We can register the hostel room by paying the respective fee and details provided by the college website and the hostel fee is paid once a year and the fee is also reasonable. It is little difficult for the south students to adapt the hostel food otherwise the hostels are good and spacious.
 

Infrastructure Rating
University has different blocks for different departments like Agronomy, Horticulture, Forestry, Soil Science, Economics, Computer Science Department and etc.; and the building’s infrastructure is average on outside, but the facilities are good inside the classrooms and only few classrooms are air conditioned but most of the classes are not air conditioned but fans and other facilities are provided.
 

Campus Rating
The overall campus life is good, and ragging is strictly prohibited in the university for student safety and many fests will be conducted during the end of the year in December mostly and also other fests like freshers, farewell and sports days and many more will be conducted and there are many clubs for the students like literature and photography, etc. for the students who are interested to showcase their talent and knowledge.

    Overall, my experience at SHUATS Prayagraj is good. The 4-year of campus life is like a rollercoaster ride where I went through lot of ups & downs. The campus is very big, you have to walk a long way to reach to your University/Department to the classroom. The faculty and professors are very helpful throughout the academics.     My overall experience was good. Teachers were friendly and knowledgeable. The infrastructure of the university is great, and it has a beautiful garden, but the management is not up to the mark.
