Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University is the first Pharma university in India, and is located in University campus just beside the old block as many get confused with its location. This University is a global university, we have students across the globe. It is not like that this university is only associated with pharma courses, other courses are also available.

People think about the question of how to get admission in B. Pharma at DPSRU? Is there any need for giving some competitive exams? How much score is needed in board exams? If the admission requires a board percentage, if yes then how much? Well, there are no specific criteria for getting admission in B. Pharma. One needs to require 70% as the minimum percentage. There is no such conduction of any particular exam; you can get admission on the basis of your board exams percentage. As this is a government university, if any student wants to get a scholarship, then you need to apply in the various scholarship schemes of the government. Scheme differs from course to course. When students are in search of the best university with great academics, they also search for a proper environment and management. The management of the university is strict and harsh in the beginning when you become a part of the university. As the university is government, it is clear that management will be strict, but it is cooperative. It takes some time to do a student's task but do it properly.

As I am in third year of B. Pharma, I can say that most teachers know about this course, but few of them are not even aware of the course. But, teachers will help you in any possible way to guide their students in any topic. This course gives practical as well as theoretical knowledge, it depends on the students how much the student is passionate about the course and how much effort can a student put to pursue this course. According to the student's performance in the university, job offers are there.

Our university's faculty is skilled in teaching in student's on multiple subjects with the help of senior as well assistant professors. Our Institute has around 150 staff members. But, for students who want to pursue post-graduation, our university provides a specified subject teacher with a master's degree in a particular subject. Most faculty members have a master's degree in a particular subject and are very reputed professors. Apart from main faculty members we also provide guest lectures. Many teachers have bachelor's degrees and these teachers teach students in their first year.

Many faculty members of our university have fetched their degrees from foreign institutions. But, it all depends on students understanding how much the student is able to understand and learn. Teachers are very polite and very cooperative with the students. Along with teaching they sometimes enjoy with the students by engaging in some fun activities. Every student needs these types of teachers who make the session enjoyable. The teaching staff of the university is well qualified and well knowledgeable. Students all queries are solved by our faculty members.

When the question comes about placement of students from our university, then there are companies like Novartis, Quintiles IMS, Dr. Reddy's, Cipla, Abbott, IQVIA, ZS associates, Fortis Healthworld, Tata Consultancy, Eli-Lily, Sanyog Enterprise, and many more. The highest package provided by companies for M. Pharma is Rs. 5.0 to 8.5 lacs and for B. Pharma is Rs. 3.5 to 6.2 lacs. Almost 50% students are placed in reputed companies, 10% students are placed in average companies and remaining 40% students choose for higher studies.

There is a department in our university called placement cell, in which students are provided with employment opportunities, and help in taking admission for higher studies in reputed universities. Sessions are held to train students for interviews, to boost confidence, and that part is the amazing one. One such session was held in 2017-18. Our university has not left any chance in bringing the top companies on campus. During 2018-19, many reputed organizations participated which offer roles in various sectors like clinical research, production, quality assurance, formulation development, hospital and community pharmacy, and much more.

Many institutes suggest students to live in hostels rather than living as a paying guest off-campus. Hostel life is a different experience which should be experienced by everyone once in their lifetime. It explains how to live? But, various questions arise in mind like how many hostels are there? Are the hostels separate or combined? What is the environment of the hostel? Is the food quality good or bad? How can hostels be safe for students? These are the questions which trigger the mind. So, in our university there are two hostels, one for boys and one for girls, and in the university campus only.

In girls hostel there are three buildings, one for M. Pharma students and two for B. Pharma and other courses students, similar with boys hostel. Both hostels contain one chief warden and one senior warden. Booklet system is there for girls in which the girls have to sign it by respective wardens if they want to go out for a day, if you want to go for a night out, then permission is taken from your parents. There is a particular time for girls to reach the hostel at night. Upgradation of hostels are being done to accommodate more students. When it comes to food and hygiene, wherever you go this becomes an issue. Our university's hostels provide good food and take proper care of hygiene and cleaning. Full security is provided for girls as the hostel is on-campus.

DPSRU is known for its magnificent infrastructure. The land occupied by our university is 10.36 acres, our university lies in hustle bustle area. In one campus only there is Institute and university, both related with one other. Two buildings are there, one is institute's building and other one is university building, and both buildings are connected with one another. 33 departments are there in our university. There is one big auditorium, one big library, and two classrooms on each floor, 7 floors are there in our university.

Every floor has laboratories, research room, which is very important in B. Pharma. Apart from this yoga center, meeting rooms and physiotherapy center is also there. The major highlight is cafeteria which college students need. There is one cafeteria, one stationary shop is also there so that students don't need to go out and buy stuff. The stationary shop acts as a savior for students as if you forgot to make the assignment, so you can buy the stuff from the shop and can submit before time. Many conferences are conducted on the campus which guides the students. Our university is surrounded by greenery that it looks so good, and inside campus also very much greenery is present. In our university there is one large sports Complex, one swimming pool, and gym is also there.

Our university is not famous for only its placements and infrastructure, it is also famous for its activities. In 2020, our university conducted a fest which was named "Panacea", and the fest prove to be a great success. Our university conducts various events like national and international Conference, programs for quality improvement, workshops, seminars, related to academics.

Apart from academics extra co-curricular activities are also conducted like Annual Day, sports day, physiotherapy day, national pharmacy day, and many other festivals at community level. Our university also consists of many clubs like dance club, verve club, singing club, nukad natak club, arts Club, and many more. Fun is also important along with studies. Isn't it? At the last, I want to say you will not only learn new things about academics, but also learn to survive, you will learn about the system, you will be able to fight for your rights. You will make new and memorable memories with every semester every year.
