My experience in IITG

Overall Rating
One of the main reasons to join this college is that it is of national importance. Coming to pros, we have a good academic syllabus and infrastructure. An excellent campus life shared with a good / decent placement. But coming to cons we don't have excellent sport equipment. The mess food is of mediocre quality.
 

Academics Rating
It has an excellent course program which is very well structured. It has been taken from the syllabus of top 8 IITs. The syllabus also satisfies the requirements of the present industry. It has a lot of flexibility with the options of electives so that the student can pick their respective interest. There is no such thing as entry requirements.
 

Faculty Rating
It can be said as mix. Few of the faculty who has great experience makes the lectures so gripping and interesting. But few of the faculty could not present the subject clearly for the students. But this kind of overall faculty is common in all of the national institutes. But there is no need to worry for their background as every one of them hold Ph.D.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we do have a Placement Cell. It does help in the placement by having a structured syllabus and giving quality projects and interview level assignments.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostel infrastructure is pretty good. But there in provision of ACs in the hostel rooms. Instead, it is complemented by a table fan and a ceiling fan. For recreational activities, we have caroms and table tennis inside the hostel and an occasionally inside shuttle court.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The academic building if one of the best building structures among all the IIITs. We share a huge block building in which both academic as well as the administration purposes is served. All the rooms inside the building have central ACs. Labs and library are open for the students all the time so that students can come study/do their respective interest in the quiet atmosphere.
 

Campus Rating
We do have a wonderful campus life. Campus is surrounded by the open farms and hills. There are a number of birds and a few animals in our campus. You can explore a wonderful picturesque of sunset and sunrise. There is a lot of clubs for dancing, music, art, robotics, programming and many more. We do have two grandeur fests, technical and cultural fest named as Entropy and Yuvaan.

    Indian Institute of Information Technology, Guwahati is an institute of national importance. The computer science and engineering branch is considered to be a good option among others. Once you come to the institute, you will not regret any more. You will automatically engage in it. Faculties are just amazing. There are many coding competitions and extracurricular activities.     IIITG is an institute, which is in its developing stage, and at this point I think, has a lot of scope to improve. First things first and what the priority should be faculty. I think this institute has best faculty. They are helping in nature and teach perfectly (obviously, exceptions do exist).
