Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University B.Tech Review By Chetan Chayal

Many students in the campus are way too satisfied with the college, but I am not. I have my reason though and I know that the college should take the blame. The infrastructure made me fall for this college. Being a bright student throughout, this was not my first choice college. However, the destiny took me here and I still question why I chose this college when there were a lot of college back home which were better than this. Anyways the college has a combination of both, negatives and positives.

The number of seats that the college has out of that 30-40% is availed by management route. This means that merit students don’t stand a chance to enter this so called huge college.

Since the university is deemed and has colleges in various parts of India the competition is less. The syllabus though in each semester is just too much for one’s liking. I have referred the same subject’s books of other universities and must say the syllabus is too lengthy. However, the classrooms, and labs are fully equipped.

The attendance is really strict and this I believe as a positive point because engineering by no means is a joke. Students here have realized that and that is why the dropout ratio is high. The college timings are good and the management has taken in finishing the portion within the stipulated time. Classes can clear your basics but you will have to work tirelessly to make sure you score well.

The faculty is great and the numbers are even greater. The professor who will take class this month will be absent for the next month and some other professor will come. Before we could figure the previous professor a new man walks in. I don’t know whether it actually works at a university of this stature. Anyways I have made peace with it as the other students have. The teaching method of most of the teachers is unique and do love some of them and specially Pawar Sir.

I have enquired about it and have also witnessed it from my own eyes. Nearly 90% of the students get placed but in the respective fields they desire. IT and Auto companies are always in focus at the campus and no major Infra companies in my presence have ever attended the campus. Besides that, some finance companies have started visiting. Can u imagine that? Even I can’t.

For the students who want to get stationed at an IT company it’s the best college as big foreign nationals have started attending the campus and have recruited many students as well.

One boys hostel and 7 girls hostel are there in our Dhanakwadi campus. The rooms are good and have all the facilities one can ask for. The bathrooms are clean and so is the hostel lobby. There’s a separate visitor room at the hostel and that’s good enough. The fees for the liking is little high.

The mess is good as the food varies but mostly South Indian dishes are on offer. During winters PavBhaji becomes a staple food and don’t I will crave for that once I leave the college. Sporting facility, fully Wi-Fi and water coolers are installed on each floor. I don’t think there’s anything else that I can ask for in a hostel.

As I have already said that the campus is deceptive. It looks so attractive and something that you would want to be in at the earliest. As a student you can’t ask for a better infrastructure than Bharti Vidyapeeth. Loved the labs, the computer labs, beautiful canteens as there are 4. A Xerox shop and 2 kirana stores are there at the campus.

The campus is lush green has 2 huge play grounds and being a sports lover, I always participated in the sports day at the college. I really missed it this year as February is the time when sports event is mostly conducted. In a nutshell, the infrastructure has nothing wrong and perhaps the best one can find.

The outsiders are mostly too rich that they would hate to gel with you if you can’t spend like them. Having said that one who can afford the college and hostel fees has to be rich as it’s too high I believe. The students are good as I have made some of my friends for life at the campus. The faculty too is so easy to approach and one with whom I have connected really well.

The security is always tight and you are often stopped and asked which department you belong. No outsiders are allowed in the campus without permissions. So campus life has been good and has my moments that I will cherish for the rest of my life.
