Auro University BBA Review By S Kumar

Since Auro is a newly built university keeping in mind the latest infrastructure that a university today commands. Given the rich background of our University trustees, Auro is without a doubt the best setup that you can find not just in Surat, but nearby places as well. For the students who can’t get admission in big cities, Auro has come as a savior.

The seats are not limited and for anybody who has scored 50+ in HSC can enroll here for B.B.A. Well, this is why, I am at Auro. After spending 2 years at the college, I can say that I took the right decision as I can manage other works as well while studying in this college. The crowd is also local as Auro has still not able to grasp students from outside. I hope that it changes with time and it will have more of a cosmopolitan crowd.

The digital classrooms and digital labs is something that I believe not many colleges in Surat have. Since it’s a deemed university and mostly the students comes from a well to do family, the syllabus too is in accordance with that. The more of realistic knowledge is imparted in students rather than just the theoretical knowledge. This makes study interesting and fun. Also scoring in exams is not that tough and will have to say things are easy at Auro when it comes to academics.

Practical are divided into monthly tasks and they are compulsory. In a nutshell, the college is doing great in academics and that is why the strength of the college has grown in numbers in last few years. Like it is in BBA, there are 6 semesters and by the end of it, we are awarded the degree.

The teachers are also locals but possess degrees from some of the finest colleges. The professors too understand that imparting practical knowledge in students will help more and therefore they keep the environment in which one can stay in a bubble. The faculty members though mostly come and go and don’t bother the way students are performing. In a way it’s good as at the end of the day, we as students know what works best for us. I may have not registered my name in professor’s good books but one thing for sure I am not in their bad books either.

Almost all the students who enroll here come from a privileged background. Well you can call it a case of sour grapes but there is absolutely no commitment from either of them, i.e. students or the college to even tinker with this department. The management was clear that you should pursue higher studies and no one even in Surat will bother to give students of this college any sort of Job. Thus, if this is your criteria better stay away.

There are 2 hostel buildings in the campus. One of them is boys hostel and the other one is girls hostel. I have some friends who stay in the hostel and therefore I know exactly how they look like. The hostel reception area would remind you of some 3-4 star hotels. You doubt me, you can come and see it yourself. However, they charge hefty fees to maintain it like that.

The hostel rooms are huge and 2 students stay together in single room. The room is spacious and has nice beds, cupboards and clean bathrooms. ACs are installed in the rooms and you can run them as long as you want. There is a warning attached about the timings but our mates from hostel would come and see us even if we call them at 12 at night. Thus no strictness though there are guards and requires some sort of setting to step out. For the students who are outsiders hostel is a good choice for them as the place nearby college is little isolated and therefore hostel is indeed the best option.

Infrastructure of our college is rated highly by many experts who have written about our colleges in their ads. The location is far from major residential areas but the lush green 40 acres campus is a sight to visit. The admin block is like a hotel and the parking space is also no less. Many students come by their own vehicles and have a huge hall where events are organized.

The main building also has a library hall that can accommodate 300+ students at a time. The campus is mainly known for its greenery as I bet you won’t find so much greenery at a single place in Surat like you will in Auro University. The college canteen is great and sipping cold drinks with burgers is how I used to end my day at the college. I can go on and on as the infrastructure of the college is just too good.

The campus life is good as we 4-5 friends enrolled together in Auro University. Therefore, I haven’t made any more friends apart from them but roaming around in the college, the activities and specially the events brought teachers and students closer. Since the attendance was not compulsory we have spent enough time playing sports and interacting with friends in the campus. In short, I have enjoyed every bit of it at the college campus.
