Hey everyone, as an overall review of my Institute thus far, I have loved it to be very honest. You get everything you may think of to explore. It will provide a platform for every introvert out there to open up and get a memorable life. For me, this college taught how to speak, interact and many more important aspects of life you may think of. The culture and academics are huge plus point in here. Seniors are very kind and helpful. For everyone getting an opportunity to enter here, trust me you won't regret it if you join here.

Academics are primary goal of the whole campus community here. They have this interesting analogy of academics as 1, and the rest activities as 0. It doesn't matter how many zeroes you got, without that 1 you are not getting, and value added. So, the 1, or academics is always first priority. This institute has a hectic curriculum but as time passes you will learn to adapt to it. Talking about my course in BS, Mathematics and Statistics, it includes mathematics for its major part, but also a computing and programming part too. For any maths lovers out there, this is what you need. You can consider it equivalent to CSE; given you have a good programming knowledge.

Faculty here is very kind and professional at the same time. They are from different parts of the country. They are highly qualified in their subjects. Everyone will like their style of teaching instantly; they allow everyone's opinions in class and adapt to it. They also provide a lot of time for doubt solving and some classes for problem solving. Overall, they help you the best they can, so you can get along with academics.

Hostels at IITK, are firstly called Halls, as a freshman you are definitely getting Hall 13 (Boys) & Hall 4(Girls), these are recently developed halls. You should expect a very good infrastructure here. Hostel life is a must in IIT; people in Kanpur too get a hostel room. Food is above average and trusts me my other IITs friends claimed IIT Kanpur got best mess food of all IITs. And hostel life is that part of your life, you'll never forget until you die, (or get a tanjirou headbutt, sorry for those didn't get). I highly everyone to get a hostel at least for the engineering life, irrespective of which institute you will join.

Infrastructure is best for any IITs you may think of, and it's the same case here in Kanpur too, you'll love the infrastructure. Thematically built as red brick walls almost of the campus. We can divide campus in two halves, one for academic blocks and the other residential area. There are 13 Halls (Hostels), 11 for boys, 2 for girls. In academic blocks, there is department building, faculty building, and lecture hall complex which is a 20 Hall complex where almost of our classes go on for 4 years. There are two computer centers with hundreds of computers. Library is one of the biggest in country, (unfortunately not available after 12 am). Infrastructure cannot be a criticised in any way here.

The campus life will definitely give you a very memorable journey. The events that occur throughout the year, the crowd, friends, all sum to make it more unforgettable. There are clubs for almost any curricular activity you can think of, from books to e-sports. Three important fests, sports, cultural and Tech fest are highly anticipated. Cultural fest is named antaragni; you can get the other two names after you enter here. Also, there are many more activities apart from these, there are hall days (celebrating inauguration days of all 13 halls), and there are special dinners. For freshers there is DJ nights, movie nights and many more. For me this campus community is the best thing I got in my life.
