PES University B.Pharm Review By Sumit Kumar

PES University is located in the heart of Bangalore City. PES University is a reputed name and has a lot of courses to offer. All the departments are in the same campus and therefore the campus looks congested. The interaction with students from different courses has made PES University a great choice. I enrolled for B. Pharm and sometimes regretted it as if the studies are so tough, I should have given one more try for MBBS. The knowledge imparted as a part of the study was impeccable. The dean managed the college really well and all the staff members were friendly. The best part is that students and teachers are very helpful as the teachers themselves asked intelligent students to take care of the weaker students. Being a part of this university gave me immense pleasure and a lifetime reason for joy.

Studies was in accordance with the Universities and the course was designed to make sure that students have enough time to spend on research work as well. The classrooms where the students are seated were great and they are planning to change to make it competent with other Universities. The classrooms are now digital and all thanks to our seniors who a mass bunked to get rid of the traditional classrooms. The management takes care of the students as a whole and don’t think can thank enough with the way the University takes care of the academic part. Also, to make sure students are never overloaded there are many clubs started by the University and one can learn many more things other the studies at the University. Loved the way the University has managed the academics and also the brighter sides of it.

Many professors retired when we enrolled but even the new professors were great. They didn’t just bring freshness but also created a competitive environment to make studies fun. The teachers hold a doctorate degree and are good at understanding the mindset with which students approach studies these days. They tried their best to make sure expertise is enhanced by students and also never rushed to compensate for things. All the professors made it clear that students can directly come to them during breaks if they had any doubts. What else can we expect from the brilliant faculty at the campus.

The placement cell is highly active and has made sure that students have an offer letter before the final year’s exams. The package is little less as B. Pharma today is one of the toughest courses and not many seats are there. Given the competitive environment that exists an average pay package of 3-4 lakhs is what the University currently provides. The placement rate is great and the best part is the internship that we do during the final year. That not only gives us exposure but also helps in exercising what we have learned at the college.

There are 4 hostels of the university and one of the boys hostel has now been shifted to the campus. In our time it was located at a different location and we had to travel by bus. The hostel premises had a playground and I should say a much needed one. In addition to boys hostel there are 3 girls hostels as well. All the hostels are well maintained and the warden is strict. The closing time is 9pm for girl’s hostel and 10pm for boys hostel. A prior intimation is required before leave or if you are going out post the curfew timings. The life at the hostel was fun and the rooms were spacious and had a nice study table and separate beds for all.

The college campus is small compared to the number of courses that University offers. However the University has space other than the campus where there are hostel buildings and playgrounds. Inside the campus there is a library, a recreation room, a club house and a canteen that serves a variety of food. The library is open for all and there’s also a Xerox center in the library. The buildings are all well-maintained and washrooms and water coolers are in place at each floor of the college building.

The University has made sure that students enjoy their college life and therefore various clubs are at place. The festival celebrations and fresher were held inside the campus and was great to be a part of such events. The college is strict in terms of misbehaving with fellow students or spilling the beans on anyone. The college gave students a sense of security and no discrimination was done ever by students or the teachers. Students from various states live with peace in the college and the peaceful environment in the college has made life fun at the college. The college is remarkable and so are the facilities and teachers. Thus, the PES College of Pharmacy which is one of the best in business has created a niche for itself.
