The college is handled by very capable Mr. Uday Salunkhe and the popularity of the college has reached cross borders with the kind of facility that it provides. The college started more than 40 years ago and to date has maintained the rapport for which the college is known. From my perspective the college has all the ingredients that made this college one of the best. May not be students first priority but still above various other colleges. MH-CET score is accepted by the college and is among the best top 10 Management colleges in India. The college is small, but the location is great and near to is the great Poddar college. The environment in and around the college is great and I must say that the college didn’t disappointed me.

The college gives maximum importance to this part as they believe that MMS is a course that can help you gain managerial skills. The MMS course is affiliated to Mumbai University and the module and syllabus for MMS is the same in various other colleges affiliated to Mumbai University. The energy, crowd and faculties will to train student was exceptional. Glad that during the final semester was placed as an intern at HUL and that experience has helped me start my own business today. The college didn’t teach us the syllabus but also taught us how to become self-dependent as the students studying management studies are not just meant for working for other corporate.

The faculty members were really nice and were quite helpful. Unlike many other colleges, Welingkar college faculty is quite easy going instead of lengthy lectures they taught us how to do smart studies. I still remember we got enough break to study before the exams and our faculty members told us that we are at college only and if you have any problem or questions, students can approach them directly. This was so good on their part as this made us more comfortable and the relation was maintained for the entire 2 years. The faculty members are very experienced and also shared their valuable experiences with us during the course of our MMS studies.

There’s a direct campus placement facility with this college and this is what makes this college a great choice. When one says management studies everyone is like banks and financial institutions and therefore as soon as I Saw Infosys board, I decided to approach them. Even IT sectors need management skills students. If I am not wrong, I think just 4-5 of us approached Infosys and leaving 1, we all were hired by Infosys and one of my friends is now working with Infosys at Hinjewadi, Pune. Some of the other corporate that were on campus for the placements include international banks like Deutsche Bank, and Citi Bank. Among others were the likes of Naukri, Bajaj Allianz, and Aditya Birla Group among others. The average package was Rs. 5 lakhs and highest was around Rs. 10 lakhs per annum. The ratio of placement was well over 60% and therefore the deserving students did get placements.

The college has a boys and a girls hostel. The boys hostel has nearly 50 rooms and accommodates 100 students. The girls hostel was little small though and both the hostels were at a short distance from the college but in Matunga itself. Since I was a local, I used to travel college by bus and never saw the hostel from inside. The building was good and had internet connectivity as well. The rooms from what I heard know that they were furnished. The hostel had mess facility as well and therefore the students who stay at the hostel don’t have to bargain outside for food.

The college campus has arguably one of the best facilities with leadership & innovation labs, fully Wi-Fi campus and modern classrooms. The college is equipped with new age tools used for learning. The college has a round table conference rooms and my first experience in that room is still fresh. The campus is compact as it has just 2 buildings. The one is the main college building and other building is dedicated to Management studies. The campus also accommodates a small canteen that was our bread and butter as I had breakfast and evening suppers in the canteens. Among other facilities there’s a library and also a small gym in the main building.

Some of the sharpest minds were on board on the campus and as a student we were applied to some of the best management lessons. The campus also hosts various events from sports day to cultural fests. College is a home to students from various Indian states and that made me learn various cultures as well. Many guest lectures were conducted during the 2 years program at We campus and many industrial stalwarts came and gave the lectures on how to succeed in life. The faculty members were helpful in making us the right choice for our careers as they knew what we are good at. The life at WeSchool campus was great and something that I will never forget.
