Madras Institute of Technology Placements: Average & Highest Package 2025, Chennai

The time has changed as Chennai is no longer cement or tyres manufacturing hub. IT has taken over and all the listed IT companies be it Mphasis, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, or Hexaware they all have their offices in Chennai, and nearly 2 lakhs IT professionals work in Chennai. All the mentioned names were the biggest recruiters and took the students in volumes as the Indian IT space is growing. The average placement for all was around 10 lakhs and it is as good as any IITs or NITs. Placements at MIT are next to IIT Madras. IIT-Madras average package hovers around 8-9LPA while for MIT it was 6-7 LPA. If IIT-Madras has 90% placement record, MIT had 80%. So, both the institutes are neck and neck. Now if I be brutally honest, then all the companies that came here first went to IIT for top posts and then for their assistant posts they came to MIT. I might have created much heartache with this line but this is as honest as anything. Google hiring students from there with a package of 20LPA while offers MIT student a meagre 10LPA. Since, IIT is an institute that is not meant for everyone, MIT students with their work experience has proven that they are no less from them in any walk of life.Read Full Review
