Presidency College is a big name when it comes to the top colleges in Bangalore. The college is managed by the Presidency Group of Institutions. It’s a private college that is affiliated with Bangalore University. There’s no messing around as you will have to repeat the year even if your attendance short in just 2 subjects. However, college students are not encouragingly engaging in studies as there are very thin eligibility criteria for admissions. You will hardly feel as if you are a college student because the rules are damn tough to follow. Uniform is common practice in many colleges here and therefore that didn’t bothered me much but other aspects of the discipline were such that some of them were even questionable. During college hours you can’t participate or prepare for intercollegiate fests because at any cost you have to maintain the attendance above 75%. Some of the rules were good like you can adopt them for life. No littering on the campus and you can’t bunk the class and sit in the canteen. All these rules can be termed as favorable for students but some were too subjective.Read Full Review

It’s been a while by the time I have passed out. It was like a school as the class timings were strict and to keep us attentive there were many precession tests taken. This is not the end friends as post-class tests were also taken to check who all paid attention and who didn’t. Back then it looked so odd and as if I am in prison but now I know how important all that was as the B. Com from Presidency College Hebbal helped me prepare for future competitive exams and also helped me in my further education. The college has now turned into a University but I don’t think there would have been any change apart from one thing that the college has increased the number of students. Unfortunately for them the management and faculty are still the same so strictness should be in place. However, if you are in the college for studies then academic wise the college is much underrated. The students know about the strictness and try to avoid Presidency as much as they can. Even the best of students don’t want to be a part of this college due to strictness. I will answer the remaining sections and I hope you can conclude out of that about the college.Read Full Review
