South Calcutta Law College under Calcutta University, is a specialized university focused on legal education and provides B.A.LLB, B.A.LL.B (Hons.), and LLM as the course of study. Though I am currently pursuing B.A.LL.B from the institute and the specialty of the institute is the freedom that it provides, you can with permission attend internship, participate in inter college debates and moot courts, even the moot-court society organizes debate and moot court events. Initially Law was not in my plans and I was intrigued to see where I would go after the first year. However, after 1st semester itself I started enjoying my college and my course. In four years, my college life at SCLC Kolkata has been more turbulent than I would have imagined. Attendance are not that strict and infect some students come to college only for exams or some special guest lectures. This is because more focus is given to practical learning and therefore most students who are pursuing Law from here are more involved with internships.Read Full Review
