Mats Institute or MIME is a great college if you want to pursue PGDM. Just like many other B-Schools, MIME too provides majors in all the subjects such as HR, Marketing, and Finance. Other than this they also have a specialized subject called IB (International Business). Well, the best part is that being a part of Jain University, I actually got a direct admission as not my any entrance score was great, nor did I scored well in my UG. They did keep me waiting for a while but finally gave a nod and I was asked to come and pay the fees. The rising job prospect compelled me to go for an MBA otherwise I was fine with BBA. The 360 degrees approach is what makes MIME different that the others. My cousin got admission at IIM-Bangalore and we used to discuss what their college teaches and our colleges go about the business. There were hardly any similarities as in MIME theory is actually put into practice and therefore it wasn’t much of a load. I am not saying MIME is better than IIM but just saying the basic difference. MIME knows the people who have come to their college are the ones who have failed to get admissions elsewhere. Jain University has started a new campus in Jayanagar that offers the PGDM course. The campus was built in 2010 and MIME is the place where I spent the two most beautiful years of my life. Trust me I am not just saying academic wise but the kind of facilities and the learning that PGDM program provided was just great. The institute gave me a lot of exposure and freedom that helped me grow. As a student MIME also gave me a lot of exposure to showcase my singing ability as well. I am graduated from Mount Carmel College but the eligibility to be honest for taking admission to this college is absolutely nothing. Even if you have passed your graduation with 50% plus and ready to shell out Rs. 8 lakhs, you are in the college. MIME is itself a University that is managed by Jain University. I am currently working as a teacher in yet another prominent college in Bangalore, and I got that job because I had a degree from MIME.Read Full Review
