IMU Kolkata Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

The infrastructure is decent with mostly all the hostels well furnished and maintained neatly. The academic building is newly built and is equipped with all the necessary things. The campus is spread over 33 acres, having a separate space for all the sports, a large auditorium, dispensary, cafeteria etc. It has a large library consisting of books from various genres. Most of the classrooms are equipped with projectors for better teaching experience.

The Campus life campus is really great. Starting the day at 6:00 clock in morning, it ends at 9:00 clock at night. The day is tightly packed with a cadet indulged in various other activities other than academics. Sports is an essential part of a cadets’ life at IMU Kolkata. Well, there are projectors, ACs, and other basic necessities. There is a library with printing and Xerox access for the cheapest price. There are 2 canteens and 1 basic stationery. The campus contains a big ground which is divided for different sports like Hockey, Football, Cricket, and Kabaddi. There are also basketball and volleyball courts.

The infrastructure of the university is a little old, but all the classrooms, library, labs, and the workshops are well maintained with centralised AC in all the classes and the academic blocks. The canteen is also good but cheap. The best part about the university is sports and other events. The size of the campus is 33 acres, and the university is also quite closer to the Kolkata port and 10 KM away from the Howrah railway station. However, the university does not have a good locality.

The campus life is good with many different kinds of fests held all throughout the year. TEMPEST, our fest, is the biggest marine fest of Asia held in our university. The TEMPEST event accepts participants from all other universities and competition are held in all types of events, including technical, cultural, sports etc. It is a 5 day event and increases the beauty of the university. After the 4 years of B.Tech, the cadet of final year does a great passing out parade marking an end to the university life and getting ready to join the ship.Read Full Review
