Dr MGR Educational and Research Institute campus area is more than 300 acres. Several blocks including ‘Ramanujam Block’, ‘Mother Teresa Block’, ‘Dr. Abdul Kalam Block’, ‘Centenary Block’, and many others are there at the main campus for academic, administrative & other purposes. Apart from this, the University also has an ‘ARNI’ off-campus that is located in Chennai.

At Dr MGR Educational and Research Institute, facilities like digital classrooms, fully-equipped labs, well-stacked libraries, sports ground & courts, residential blocks, Wi-Fi, canteens, health clinic, transportations, etc, are available for the students.

Academic Facilities

The University aims to enhance the learning experience of the students by providing modern academic spaces at the campus. There are more than 105 spacious & ventilated classrooms, lecture halls, and tutorial rooms at the campus which contain multimedia projectors, mic, internet connection & other requisite audio-visual aids.

To conduct academic gatherings & formal events like seminars, conferences, interviews, symposium, expert talks, meetings, etc., the University has nearly 10 seminar halls and multiple conference halls inside the premises.

Also, an auditorium / multi-purpose hall is available in the ‘Ramanujam Block’ of the University to organise convocation, extra-curricular activities, cultural programs, and other large-scale events. Apart from this, the University has a media centre (advanced visual effects & dubbing studio) at the campus.

• Library: A central and multiple departmental libraries are set by the University to fulfill the academic needs of the students. A wide collection of 7,69,000+ volumes, 98,000+ titles, 70+ special reports, 300+ printed journals, and other resources are available in the library. Students can use the computing facilities present in the digital library to access the e-resources, online databases, and subscribed platforms.
  The library also has a reading room with a seating capacity of around 400 students and this space can be used to have an uninterrupted & peaceful study space. Other than this, reprographic services, reference section, bibliography / compilation section, and many other facilities are provided to the students within the library.
• Laboratories: Approximately 72 laboratories are available at the University with adequate equipment & machines. Students get access to air-conditioned computer labs with high-configuration PCs and other devices. Some of the computer labs in the departments have more than 250 computers.
  Multiple labs are present in the academic departments of the University including Civil Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Architecture, Management, Computer Application, and several others.
