Institute of Home Economics New Delhi Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

The Institute has two academic blocks with three floors located in Hauz Khas, which is a prime and well-connected area. The classrooms are spacious & seating is comfortable with good ventilation. There's also an AC library with a peaceful environment and a conference room for events, seminars, competitions and workshops. The canteen is decent with seating arrangement. There is also a sports court known as basketball court for physical exercises and a medical room for emergencies. My favourite spot on campus is foyer area with plants all around making a peaceful place to sit and relax.

Campus life is pretty lively and fun. It's a women’s Institution and the crowd is really good, friendly and supportive. There are a number of societies for almost every interest from dance, social service, media, music to literature, sports, environment and more. Competitions, workshops and events happens from time to time. I feel it's a great way to learn new skills and connect with industry experts. The Institute is self-sufficient, with well-ventilated classrooms and fully-equipped laboratories. Each student gets the opportunity to perform experiments individually, thanks to the availability of sufficient material and resources. IHE New Delhi’s library is a treasure trove, flooded with books covering all subjects in depth. It provides a rich resource for both coursework and research. The canteen has been recently modified and offers a wide range of food options. It has become a perfect spot for brunch and lunch breaks. Quadrangle is another attraction of the campus, where all the festivals are celebrated.

Most recently, Janmashtmi Dahi Handi was celebrated. It was very fun and lively. Apart from this, there are other festivals too that take place. Overall, the Institute provides an environment that balances academics, hands-on learning, and student well-being. This campus has two academic blocks or we called the two wings where the classes are conducted. The structure of the college is not so appealing but the academics are of top notch quality. With time the buildings are renovated for the safety of the students. The other amenities available here are all the labs in every field of study such as two computer labs, a two storey large library, different resource rooms for particular subject books, and a canteen.

The campus life is very exciting. The farewell consists of all the fun rain dance party and exciting games for everyone and not just the seniors. The crowd is also good and incorporates all types of students from every background. We have a lot of clubs or societies for various activities such as for dance eleganza, for fashion poise, the literary society muzahira, the music society tarkaas, and others.Read Full Review
